Unfortunately, people are arrogant.
That’s the reason why.
As for the people you mentioned, it’s always “their way” in their eyes.
It comes from a persecution complex where they always have to be in the right regardless of how outlandish and bullshit their laalaaland logic is.
And when their logic is contradicted, they suck at taking any form of criticism for their dumb acts - because again, they always have to be in the right - no one else.
Plain and simple.

People not noticing actions that are obviously self-sabotaging, yet they commit not out of resignation nor uncontrollable addiction, the ones that baffled me the most are the ones that are stupidly oblivious even if you tried to explain them in the most blunt layman way.

That’s cause back in the day when it was considered perfectly acceptable behaviour in society to burn a cross in your neighbour’s yard the way movies portrayed african americans was really racist. Back then they would have caucasian actors wearing blackfaces. It started out only mildly disrespectful towards blacks, but after a couple years. . . yeah you can probably tell where this is going.

There’s plenty of things people don’t understand and often times. It can be a simple joke about a chicken crossing the road being it went to the other side when the pun is the other side refers to the afterlife and how the joke is actually about it getting hit by a car; or it can be plenty of other things.
