damn, there’s an mmorpg that I like called wow and the current story of the game is poorly written, one of the biggest criticisms is that the characters are so super sentimental out of character and basically the conflict was resolved with the “power of friendship” and some fans so compared it to My Little Pony,
but My Little Pony is better I feel insulted

So Bridlewoodstock is your all-time least favorite thing from MYM, wow. I think it’s just slightly not as good as Secrets of Starlight. I do also love Winter Wishday though as you probably know and I also like Roots of All Evil better than A Canterlot Wedding.

I sort of mentally separate the 44-minute specials from their respective chapters. I’d rank them WW>SoS>MYM>BW.

What I’d really like to do is finish rewatching G4, and see how Isle of Scaly and Root Of All Evil compare to the two-part episodes.

Hot take: In terms of writing, Root of All Evil has more substance than A Canterlot Wedding.

I’d say that the definition of “modern” depends on whether you mean absolute or relative time.

-If absolute, Zootopia was the last thing Disney made before the modern era. I think. That’s about when they started going woke.
-If relative, “modern” is 10 years.

Maybe I’m just old but to me, 2016 is close enough to be considered “modern Disney”

Either way, there’s a sequel coming out (to which my reaction was, “it’s about damn time!”)

as far as I’m concerned zootopia is old enough to not be modern disney.

To me, her closest sympathetic trait was back in “Missing the Mark” when she told Misty she’d give her a cutie mark. Of course, then the next episode she self-admits to be lying.

“Chapter 1, despite being far better than what it’s made out to be, is easily the show’s weakest part as a result of Atomic Cartoons still learning the ropes. Chapter 3 is a great holiday special, but I’m not ranking one special higher than a batch of episodes. Chapter 2 is even more underrated than Chapters 1 and 3, some people were even calling it confusing when I was able to understand everything going on in it perfectly and it only gets better the more you see how they’re setting everything up. Chapter 5 is pretty good, even as I actually like Father of the Bridlewood and the Halloween special better than Family Trees. Chapter 6 was an awesome end to the show’s first story arc to me and I already really like the setup for the next story arc in my favorite special. Chapter 4 is still my favorite part though with it having my second favorite special, my second favorite episode, and my all-time favorite part of the story, Misty’s reformation.”
