That’s a great representation of their gimmick. Funny how Yu-Gi-Oh is a game around having your deck committed to a gimmick.

Yeah, I remember one of their cards being really powerful against decks like Cyber and lightsworn.

I haven’t collected any physical cards in quite awhile, so my experience with them is from the mobile game. To put it simply, their abilities often harm light cards and cripple decks that rely on them, like a Cyber Dragon deck.

The only one I have is this.

Yu-Gi-Oh: You live and die by your gimmick. And yes, that would devastate them unless they use a card to counter it, though they would be too focused on killing synchros to think that far ahead. Honestly, I’m waiting for the Ally of Justice cards to appear, though I may have misread what gen they’re from. They seem like a fun anti-light strategy.

That’s fair enough.  
Considering they’re all machines, as are thedecks they go with, IIRC, how well do you think system down would work?

It looks like some of of the Anti-synchro mons may not be dark, so that would throw a wrench in your plan. And there’s still the glaring flaw that synchro monsters are just one form of powerful monsters, with tribute, fusion and ritual cards. Even GX had the Chazz’s Ojama deck, which would catch them off-guard due to the cards being infamously weak if you don’t build around them (as I learn in Duel Links). Imagine laughing at Ojama King until you realized that you’re limited to two monster zones and that there’s a field card that swaps his 3000 defence with his 0 attack, giving him as powerful as Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Their effect to steal your synchro monsters is more-or-less moot if you’re running a Yang Zing deck.  
Mainly because of Taotie,  
 
whose last effect prevents any synchro you summon with it from being taken before you summon Chaofeng,  
 
Whose passive ability prevents your opponent from activating the effects of any monster who shares an attribute with its yang-zing synchro material.

It’s building up to those three, since Yusei is having PDST about Ghost who uses the Meklord deck. I also looked up the cards on the wiki and learned why they’re using anti-synchro cards awhile back (other than to be a threat for the main trio to overcome).

Ok then.  
I just assumed that’s where you were because of the whole ‘dueling without synchro’s’ part.

Nope, but I’m at where he’s duelling Jack to find a way to duel without using synchro summoning. My poorly done recapping from yesterday should give you an idea of how far I am.

I have to admit it does get a bit tiring/agitating after a while that each series only focuses on a single summoning mechanic and anything beside the in-universe meta (synchro’s xyz’s, etc,) is either only lightly touched upon or ignored outright.  
I’m assuming you’re up to the part where they’re dueling against the machine emperor’s (wisel, skiel and granel, respectively?)

Have you never seen a high-level, ritual, or fusion monsters? Even a few episodes ago, you fought the Ancient Gear monsters, which don’t even have a synchro monster, and they almost beat you. Are Yu-Gi and Jadan jokes to you or something?

I’m looking at the comments of the 5D’s episodes. Apparently there was quite a bit of backstage meddling, even in the sub version, hence the filler.

I remember that. Both are annoying.

You think that’s bad? The dub has a new card appear on screen with a computer woman’s voice saying things like. ‘Junk Syncron is level 3 tuner monster that can revive level 2 or lower monsters from the graveyard when summoned’
 
I watched the sub months later and found it so strange.

I forgot that something they added in season 2 is that they the math at the bottom of the screen when there’s a synchro, they have the equation at the bottom for some reason. I find it a bit pointless, they they show the monster’s lever anyway during a synchro summon.
 
And the teacher who’s a dick uses Ancient Gear monsters. Prowler impersonator.

I’ll keep that in mind when I go back to GX, thanks. I was planning on doing that anyway, though I now feel better about that plan.
