personally, I’d remove them. especially since the user also tagged princess costume which is more fitting in those cases

The description for princess dress says:

However, we have images like >>3299502, >>3299509 and >>3299517, which have been tagged princess dress, often by a single user (whose name can be seen in tag change histories). As far as I can tell, those are not the dress from the episode. Should these mistaggings be removed, or are they “close enough”?

One’s the Celestia-like alicorn Twilight, and the other is a physically older alicorn Twilight, much like the rest of the older Mane 6.

What’s the difference between princess twilight 2.0 and older twilight sparkle (alicorn)?

A lot of images of smiling characters are incorrectly tagged with smiley face.

This tag also needs cleanup.

The butthurt tag needs cleanup; a lot there should be under literal butthurt instead.

I agree with most of this, except Alicorns are beings bearing the MAGIC of the three. Tribes. From what I understand, Sunny was gifted the magic of the three tribes. So her horn and wings being constructs doesn’t really change the fact she has the magic of the three tribes within her.
Though what really matters is the show, has the show referred to her as an Alicorn?

I like the Way e621 do Tagging.
There the Rule is “Tag what you see”.
Even if you know a Char is a Futa but you just have a Potrtrait, it can’t get the futa Tag.

We know Alicorn, Earth Pony, Unicorn and Pegasus are Pony Types (not Races).
To allow a special Type of Pony, this Pony need to be this Type of Pony, not just pretent to be it.
We know Rainbow is a Pegasus, she has wings love to fly and to be Awsome.
Rarity is an Unicorn, use her Magic to levitate Stuff while working.
Applejack is an Earth Pony, who love the good and honest work with Soil and Material.
An Alicorn is Rare and we not realy know how or why they exist.

Winged Unicorns, the real Description is not even Rare, they have exist in other Media before and I’m not even sure if G1 Dazzleglow maybe was an Animation Error like the different Alicorn Royal Guards in the Show.
But an Alicorn mean it is an Pony who is described as having the Traits of all 3 Tribes in one.
They are strong, have Wings and an Horn.
They also are set to be in a different Size, the Body is bigger as we could see it on Twilight after she changed into an Alicorn, the Wings who are bigger and different, more complex build as the Wings of an regular Pegasus and the Horn is longer.

Most important is how a Pony Type are defined.
What made an Pegasus or an Unicorn?
An Pegasus is practicaly an Earth Pony with Wings while an Unicorn is an Earth Pony with Horn.
Some say the Body is also different and I think this is right.
An Pegasus has maybe hollow bones and a slim Build to allow Flying, an Earth Pony has more Muscles and strong Bones, while the Unicorn is somewhere between.
Of course there are some unlogical Ponys like Scootaloo who can’t fly, while the much to heavy Bulk Biceps with his Micro Wings has no Problem to fly.

Question is now, was Rarity an Alicorn in S1E16 “Sonic Rainboom” after she got Wings?
Like Sunnys Wings they was created but Raritys Wings was real Constructs made by Twilight from rare Materials, while Sunnys Wings are more like Raritys Constructs from Equestria Girls and the closest Thing I know are the Constructs from Green Lantern.

The Constructs give Sunny Wings and Horn but she has not change, is not bigger like Twilight.
She is not an different Pony Type as before.
Twilight not loses her Wings after she not longer need them, Sunny just get them if the Magic is nice.
This made Wings and Horm more like a working Costume, artifical and not how an real Alicorn has them.
It is a simple Power Up,nothing more.

Just tag magic wings and magic horn on her when applicable, then those images can be found easily.

On a related note, Sunny’s been a need of a proper alicornified tag since the movie. We shouldn’t expect Sunnycorn to pull double duty of being her augmented magic form, and of her having ascended to an alicorn. It can make said pictures hard to find in that case.

the Changelings are not, just Chrsalis after the link I had post.
Chrysalis Horn and wings are part of her body, but she was just called Pegacorn, what are another Version of the Alicorn Name (Pegacorn = Pegasus Unicorn).

I can’t agree with any organizational form where Sunny (who is referred to as an Alicorn many times in plain English) is not an Alicorn, but all the Changelings are.

I know artifical Alicorns from Fallout Equestria. but not much about them.
Not sure what they are there, maybe Clones but like Artifical Ponys aka Robot Ponys, it mean for me this is not a real one.
Realistic there are just 4 Alicorns or better winged Unicors in the Franchise (because “Alicorn” is an Fan created Name).
The only existing real Alicorns are Dazzleglow from Ep 17 of G1 My Little Pony ’n Friends and Celestia, Luna & Flurry from G4.
Chrysalis is an Alicorn too, same with the most of the Changelings, but they are an own Race of Ponys.
Cadance and Twilight are just upgraded Ponys, the Rest are magical created and just for a short Time.
Sunny would only be an Alicorn if her Race change, like with Cadance (Pegasus) and Twilight (Unicorn).
She would have to do 2 magical Achivements to earn Horn and Wings as permanent Change, Caddy/Twi just needed one.
So as long Sunnys Race not change, she is not an Alicorn, just and magical enhanced Earth Pony.
If Rarity can learn the Spell that gave her butterfly Wings, it would not made her into an Alicorn.

I assume they were both created with the intention to be used facetiously, but then people unaware of the meme started tagging it with their OCs unironically.
TBH they probably could be merged, I’m not sure what use a do not steal tag played completely straight would have on this site.

Is now a good time to say I have no idea what that is? :D
I guess if big discussion is needed a solo thread topic couldn’t hurt? Or if you have your own opinion on how to organize them if you’re familiar with it.

I can’t really tell at a glance if artificial alicorn is supposed to apply to what Sunny is, or if it’s for artificially created ponies who are Alicorns, but either way alicorn would probably still be tagged on Sunny’s Alicorn mode.

Because Wings and Horn are artificial Constructs, should Sunny Starscout not be tagged as Artificial Alicorn?
Every Alicorn included Queen Chrysalis (yes, she is canon described as Alicorn Type by Pinkie Pie) has Horn and Wings as attached, real Part of the Body, but Sunny is an Earth Pony as long she not Power up.
Similar you can’t call SciTwi an Alicorn, because she get Ears and Wings when powering up and she not even has a Horn then (but she is no Pegasus too).

I only know it from people playing Pony Town. Thought it was a thing people were doing only on that, making disheveled and diseases alts of characters.

I even played as Doctor Stable and went around “gathering samples” and talking about how we were going to learn about this disease and cure it!
