About that imagur “issue”:
 
Copy/paste the direct image url into another browser. If imagehost.abc/something/something/image.jpg is magically transformed into imagehost.abc/something/something/image.jpg.html and you see a page with navigation and ads instead of just an image, chances are almost certain that image is going to get butchered when “sideloaded” to image boards such as this one.
 
This is a server-side trick to redirect for a missing or unauthorized http_referer, and user agents they don’t like.

Can you share more details? Maybe there is a problem with non-tags in the filter (score filtering, upvote filtering, user filtering, etc.)? Is it a really long filter (though the 16MB document limit on modern MongoDB should be ample space)? I looked for a candidate error signature on New Relic but turned up nothing after a casual search. Invalid search strings in themselves should not be a problem as it raises a validation error on the page as expected.

Not a bug, though.

I do not like that there has been a mass tagging of things as idw advertisement and then hiding that tag in the default filter. It is a really uncool thing to do. I know why it has happened and I think it is a stupid reason. What will you do next? Hide all screenshots of the show if they make a decision you don’t like? Hide images of the toys because someone you dislike designs them?
 
I think this is an abuse of power.

+1 on this. Images covered in my complex hidden filter can’t be shown by either clicking on the spoiler image or the text link. Normally, this wouldn’t be an issue as I’d never see the image, but it was just after I added a missing tag and I wanted to double-check that it was the right image.

I tried to create a complex filter, but when I clicked to save it it took me to a blank page and didn’t save the filter.

On Safari for iOS, filters aren’t always staying around if the tab refreshes in the background.

I just stumbled upon a bug with hidden tags.  
When I got to the image page of a hidden image I can’t unspoiler it by clicking on it. E.g. I’m using a filter to hide the very first image uploaded to derpibooru and go to >>0. Clicking on the image and clicking on the text (“click to show the image anyway”) both do nothing. It works as expected with spoilered images, just not with hidden images (no difference between complex hiding or normal tag hiding).
 
I’m using Firefox 33.1 on Windows 7, but I also get the bug on Internet Explorer 11 _shudder.
 
I don’t know if it works for embedded images, so let’s just test that:

He’s ardently opposed to the online politics of one of the writers for several of the IDW comic issues, and it’s his website, so if he wants everything IDW puts out to be auto-spoilered then everything IDW puts out gets auto-spoilered.
 
…Absolutely do not look into the details of any of that if you don’t want to wade through miles and miles of FANDOM DRAMA™. Just unspoiler that tag if you want to see comic spoilers, and you’re welcome in advance.

Oh. But why are the previews hidden then? Spoiler tagging I can understand, but hiding them altogether seems a tad much

That’s not a bug.

I believe there’s another tagging problem; all of the previews for the comics are marked as “IDW Advertisement” and are hidden so that only people who are logged in and have taken it off the list of hidden tags can see them. I’m fairly sure these are images people would want to see, so if you could look into it I would greatly appreciate it (^u)

I’m considering ways of working around it, but the images should still be at least spoilered.

the “complex filters doesn’t work on the recent comments page” issue can be fixed?

Should be resolved now.

The Complex filter problem is also preventing me from viewing any images with spoilered tags.

The (Complex filter) issue is known, and will get sorted soon.
