Go to here and follow the instructions. Once you get a thing saying DERPI-LINKVALIDATION~~<somerandomstuff>, take that and put it somewhere on your dA page where only the page owner could ~~ in a bio or similar. Once that’s done it’ll get verified by the system, checked by an admin, and then marked as verified.

AdSense is a very different beast. And yes, you’ll note we don’t run ads from any commercial networks. We’d love to - we have more traffic than most FIM sites, and eg Adsense would pay for the servers outright in a month. But we can’t because of content. We’ve had no such complaints from CloudFlare at this time.
We are not held to ransom by CF - there’s nothing preventing us from ditching them, and our infrastructure continues to be designed accordingly. However, for the vast majority of our users, CF provides a significant improvement to browsing the site.
Tor users can, as ever, use https://ronxgr5zb4dkwdpt.onion/ to bypass CloudFlare.

We’ve had to set up CF on the main site because CF were not happy with us just hosting the images through them, hence the change.That’s… concerning. I wouldn’t surprised if they would force you to ban all (or some) explicit and grimdark images altogether (especially related to foalcon and suicide).
(FIMFiction had similar ‘wonderful’ experience with another monopolist - AdSense.)

Yeah, I get it - hence my comment about Tor. We can’t do anything to avoid Cloudflare getting collaterally blocked, though the large volume of affected sites usually results in stuff getting unblocked eventually (in the internet freedom community, we call this collateral freedom).

Sadly, the connection issues here are unrelated to Cloudflare’s own security systems. As @Barhandar previously said, the problem is that the IP Cloudflare is currently assigning to the Derpibooru was previously used (or maybe IS used - I don’t know whether Cloudflare assigning single IP per domain, or one IP used to protect multiple domains simulteniously) to protect one of the sites that was blocked in Russia. Since Russian censorship is IP-based (at least in case of https-protected sites), Derpibooru just ends up being blocked along with that site…

It’d be really helpful to have more info than “doesn’t work”. Do you get connection issues? Resolver failures? Have to go through the Cloudflare “please unblock me I’m human” page? (The latter should only show up once a month, unless you’re doing something nefarious)

Our main advice for people affected by government censorship remains to use the Tor Browser Bundle and the Tor anonymity network to access the site.

As an addendum, we don’t bother deleting accounts because it’d break a boatload of stuff, things like posts or comments that @mention you would have to be edited or it’d be useless, and so on. It’s a nightmare. Add on top of that the fact that Google and archive.org and friends store historic copies of pages for a long while - there’s a reason for the saying “The Internet Never Forgets”.

We didn’t change much. Some data (metadata, not images) got screwed up and we fixed that as best we could but the images landed where they are; we didn’t change ordering.
As liam said, shit happens when you get a huge spike in writes into an eventually consistent database tuned for our normal non-hectic use case. We’re working to move away from MongoDB for this reason (and many others) but it’s a colossal project in terms of code to rewrite and data to migrate.
Edit: Also, the whole “1M not visible but 1M+1 visible” thing - when the site suddenly has to index a shitload of stuff (as it does to get onto the homepage, which is served out of ElasticSearch, not MongoDB) the background workers that process all this stuff aren’t guaranteed to do so in order, depending on numerous factors.
We don’t usually reveal anonymous uploaders, but >>1000001 was The Smiling Pony.

We use SHA-256 hashes in all certs used for the site, both images and the main site.
You may have a MITMing SSL proxy in the mix which is providing a certificate with low security parameters. I’d wager Kaspersky is doing something fun on that front. Failing that someone’s doing something nefarious but yeah, we don’t use weak crypto.

Not really on topic, but: your watch list is just a list of tags you’re watching. As with other lists, a watchlist can include both simple tag inclusions as well as complex filter queries. Matching items will show up in your watched images list as well as on the homepage. Think of it as an inclusion filter to build your own custom slice of booru alongside the global lists and your filters.

time.windows.com is for SNTP, not NTP.
Country-specific pools using pool.ntp.org are the correct way to go unless you’re a crazy enough person to have a GPS disciplined local oscillator or three sat in your loft feeding your local stratum 1 servers.
Not that I know anyone like that.
On Android, ClockSync will do SNTP synchronization, which is as good as you can get on power-sensitive devices. Meinberg have a port of the NTP reference implementation for Windows, which will kick the crap out of Windows’ inbuilt timekeeping. I heartily recommend it; it’s free and open source, of course.

There is now a small button on image pages, just to the left of the info icon on the top metabar.
Click this button and you will be rewarded with related images to the one you were just on.
This function is based on related tags between images as well as a subset of the favourite data. There’s obviously some tradeoffs we have to make between accuracy and performance, so it’s not perfect, and we’ll be continuing to tweak and adjust the function in the coming weeks.
If you see particularly good or bad related images, please link them in this thread, preferably also thumbnailing the source image for ease of comparison.

For anyone curious, there are currently a total of 856,772 images on Derpibooru, and the latest image ID is 960882, meaning that 104,110 (around 10.8%) of the images ever uploaded to Derpibooru have been deleted or merged since.
That’s kind of a lot.
(Of course, these numbers are different as of when you’re reading this, since of course more images are getting uploaded as I speak, but it doesn’t change the overall picture.)
There are 856,818 non-deleted images total in our database. Of these, 633 images were uploaded in the last 24 hours.This net total excludes the 30,793 images that have been deleted, and the 73,110 images that have been marked as duplicates. About 31 legitimate images (including duplicates) are posted for every image we have to remove for rule violations or takedown requests.

It involves Spike because he’s in the drawing. He’s clearly involved in the scene. He’s clearly under 18. So the artwork violates the rules. Simple as.

My question is HOW? spike is not sexualized in any way in this pic and that twilight is older, plus is just a pantyshot, seriously, why? there no shotacon in this pic or a sexual act.
