The deadline for submissions is tonight, approximately an hour and a half from the time of writing this. We got a lot of submissions to this collab, and I would like to thank everyone who submitted their character, who drew someone else’s character, helped answer questions and correct issues with submissions, and everything else. You all are amazing.

I’ve had a lot of people ask about late submissions. As always, there will be a window for late submissions. The extended deadline is one week from today:

You can continue to submit images just by uploading them and tagging them with the 2022 community collab tag. There’s no need to post in this thread or PM me - anything tagged before that date and time will automatically be accepted.

That will be the final deadline, and any submissions after that are not guaranteed to be included in the final image (you’d have to ask in this thread after that point - I’d probably still stay yes, but can’t make any promises).

There’s always a few submissions that don’t exactly follow the rules. I either find a way to make them work anyway or talk to the person who submitted it.

Rule 13 of the collab does cover flying characters, but if you feel it’s not clear I’m happy to take any feedback so that I can improve them next year.

Short answer: not me :D

Long answer: there’s a few queries that can be ran on the server that will get all the artist and OC tags for submissions, so I can just bother the people with server access (probably Luna) to run those for me and give me the results, then I copy/paste them into the submission when uploading.

Tagging on the collab images is normally locked immediately after upload (due to vandalism happening every year), so the rest of the non-artist/non-OC tags are typically filled in by a few of the site’s moderators who can still edit tags after they’re locked.

Also someone asked why I’m not removing submissions that lack a transparent background. Just to be clear - the rules still say submissions need to have one, but Photoshop’s good enough at removing the backgrounds that I’m not gonna reject a submission just for that reason alone. I can remove the background from a handful of images if needed, though I’d rather keep that number low too.

Husdur may be worth looking at - they regularly have commissions open and draw a lot of latex.

Otherwise most other artists I know of who draw latex don’t don’t do commissions often, and usually fill up very quickly when they do.
