It means dupes disappear from the front page back to where they “should” be (eg. if it’s a higher res source found but not really any new content) and also it means when an image has to go through approval, it gets its fair chance on the front page because its time is updated to be the moment of approval vs. just not being seen for a few minutes and potentially bumped down.

The change is related to the approval queue. This is required for posts that need approval to show up at the time they’re approved so that they don’t lose viewership or get buried on page 2-3 of search results just because we waited a bit to approve it.

It’s because Derpibooru mods for some reason changed the sort of images by default. Now they are sorted by initial post date, instead of image ID.

This image seems to be a bit bugged after it got merged
It seems to be taken the place of the older version that i uploaded ago, instead of being merged ito the newer updated i posted a few hours ago.
It shows up in the place of the older upload when i search “my uploads”, and it doesn’t seem to show up when searching the image pages (it says its supposed to be on the 2nd page but its not showing up)
And i made sure to ask for the older version to up merged to the newer upload, not the other way round.

Users without an account will always need to go through our approval queue. Users without an account may also not make comments/posts that have embedded images in them (thesyntax). Any image embedded this way will be replaced by a link to it. [emph. mine]
Per my logged-out test in the thread about the approval features, although an embedded image is converted to “a link”, it’s a link with no text at all so it’s essentially invisible, which doesn’t seem like it’s behaving as intended.

Probably just the queue patch affecting it but when you make tiny text

Not really a question but the Derpibooru server was just down. Just wondering if anyone else dealt with that. :o

12 minutes later:Server just dropped again, don’t know what’s going on D: I’m currently signed in on the regular browser as well as incognito, but my incognito one just went to server error. :(

::CLOUDFLARE_ERROR_500S_BOX::, no ray ID as usual to fix. :(Now it’s back to working again. Needs to be sorted out :o
