…and in the process ended up breaking the game
To rub salt in the wound, the original M6 dev team got fired during the QA testing of the DLC and now only 1 single member of the dev team is left on the game

I bought a newer, more spacious and luxurious vehicle this week to replace my totaled car. I should be happy, but I can’t help but feel underwhelmed. The whole car buying process and in particular having to deal with incompetent and seedy dealerships left a bad taste in my mouth. I agonized over what to buy and I’m still not sure I made the right decision. I’ve found some problems with the vehicle that were not apparent on a short test drive. Not major problems, nothing that needs to be repaired, but they annoy me considering the cost.
Maybe I should have bought that Ford truck I test drove. The fuel economy was not great and it handled like a boat, but I enjoyed driving it. That hybrid engine had impressive power. It was surprisingly nice inside and very comfortable. So why didn’t I buy it? Well, it was significantly more expensive, I wasn’t sure I could adapt to driving a big truck everyday, and it was too large to fit in my garage. Objectively, I think I made the right choice, but it doesn’t feel like it.

Which is funny because the “both sidesing” amounts to saying both candidates are too old and getting senile, which is 100% true
I’d say it’s more like 50% true. I have no trouble believing it in the case of Trump, since there are countless examples of him mentally deteriorating onstage that never get covered because the news media has apparently decided that reporting on the many wrong, nonsensical, and/or borderline treasonous things he says just doesn’t bring the pageviews. When they actually take the time to talk to people who interact with Biden, on the other hand, you routinely hear that he’s sharp and focused and has a good grasp of whatever subject it is that’s being discussed. And given that Biden has a long history of verbal gaffes and a well documented speech impediment to contend with as well, the fact that he occasionally flubs a word or two doesn’t bother me in comparison to Captain Mini-stroke still bragging about passing the Are you a vegetable? test.

@The Smiling Pony
@Kiryu-Chan
In today’s world, no matter the subject, you either agree 100% with someone, or you’re a concern troll, false flagging, ignoring the issue, a centrist, etc. which is practically as bad as being 100% against.
There are plenty of subjects where not agreeing 100% with either side or being middle of the road is a valid and defensible position, but with all due respect to Stewart, the next presidential election is not one of those issues. I’m sure it’s easy for the guy who achieved a lot of his fame during a time when a presidential election wouldn’t potentially lead to a fascist dystopia to think that whoever wins good people will continue to fight, but it kind of ignores the fact that one side is already in the planning stages of firing or arresting (or maybe just straight up disappearing, who knows?) the good people he expects to save the day. The world has changed a lot since he last left the business, and it’s a bit unfortunate he hasn’t.

Frankly I trust the opinion of person with a PhD in clinical psychology who’s known what kind of monster Donald is her entire life due to being related to him far more than I do Stewart at this point.

I test drove three cars today and had a nice time.
The first was a Hyundai Palisade. It was the base model, so it didn’t have many niceties. It’s all right, but the Palisade is designed to be a comfortable faux-luxury cruiser and I didn’t think it quite lived up to that. The seat wasn’t particularly comfortable and the suspension let in some harsh bumps. I’m not a fan of the push button shifter either.
Next I drove a ‘21 F-150 crew cab short bed with the Powerboost hybrid powertrain. This truck was a treat! It’s very comfortable with huge seats. You sit up high with excellent visibility from the tall windows. It was only an XLT, but the interior was nicely appointed. I expected the ride to be bouncy but it wasn’t. The suspension just absorbs the road. The engine and battery deliver gobs of power while still getting 19 MPG under my heavy foot. The brakes are strong. I genuinely enjoyed driving the F-150 and it made me smile.
There is just one problem and I can’t fault the truck for it because that would be asking Ford to defy physics. The F-150 is enormous and you always feel its size and mass. The steering could charitably be described as relaxed. If you care at all about handling, this is not your ride.
So, as much I liked the F-150, I’m planning to get a Kia Sorento just like the one I drove next. Maybe my perception was skewed after driving a truck for a half hour, but the Sorento felt far more direct, more like a sedan than a three row crossover. It’s comfortable while still feeling connected to the road. The 2.5 Turbo does not lack for power. It’s got plenty of space in the back and is loaded with features for about $5,000 less than the F-150.

I had a good time test driving three vehicles today. The F-150 with the Powerboost hybrid was a hoot. It’s huge and ponderous, but the engine has so much power and it’s so comfortable it made me smile. I understand now why people like big trucks.

If you have a week or two before some kind of long and rough physical/athletic exam, do at least two test runs well before that date so that your body doesn’t keel over during the actual exam right off the bat.
So many buffoons try to practice the first and only time on the day before when that’s not really a wise decision.

It was a ’23 CX-5 with only 700 miles for $30,000. It was a good deal. Maybe too good.
That was the second time I’ve test driven a CX-5 and walked away disappointed, which is too bad because the CX-5 is one of the few affordable crossovers that looks nice and tries not to be a bore to drive.
I like a tan or black interior, personally.

Used Hondas and Toyotas are strangely hard to find in my area. Within a 100 mile radius, there’s only like six CPO Hondas and most are white. I don’t want a white Passport or Pilot. They already look enough like vans.
I traveled about an hour and a half to an auto mall to check out an ‘18 Acura MDX. It looked like a pretty nice SUV. I got there and the salesman told me they couldn’t sell it because there was a recall they had no fix for. Everything else they had was unaffordable so I left.
I went to a Hyundai dealership to check out a Santa Fe. I talked to the clerk at the front desk, waited about 15 minutes, and nobody came to help me.
I left and went to a Nissan dealership to check out a Hyundai Palisade. I waited 20 minutes and got no help there either.
Finally, I went to a Mazda dealership. Mazda had the best organized sales staff and the best showroom. It felt like a tier above Hyundai and Nissan. A pleasant salesman quickly showed me to a good deal on a CPO CX-5, explained the functions of the car, and gave me the keys for a test drive. The CX-5 was nice enough on a short ride, but there were two things about it I didn’t like. First, the interior was white leather that would be a pain in the ass to keep clean. Second, the steering was wrong. The steering felt heavy and turned heavier off center, but all I felt was the weight of the steering. It was an odd combination of heavy and numb.

What happens in MYM is that at the start of the series, Sunny doesn’t know how her alicorn magic works and by the end of Ali-Conned, she theorizes that what causes her to transform into an alicorn is wanting to help others. Her theory is put to the test when she tries to transform into one in Missing the Mark and it initially fails, causing her to temporarily doubt herself. Defeating Opaline confirms her theory, helping her confidence in her alicorn powers grow. She ends up doubting herself again in Roots of All Evil once she sees how powerful Opaline can truly be. Opaline tries to convince her that all alicorns want power and that she’s like her. Being overpowered by Opaline helps Sunny fully understand what makes her unlike Opaline despite being an alicorn too, hope and friendship.
That is the story of Sunny’s development as an alicorn in MYM.

She doesn’t have it, Celestia is simply the worst character ever created, besides she taught an entire generation that the sun goes around the earth.
Imagine if a child ends up failing Mrs. Lopez’s geography test so their parents, made them cleaning the coconut-filled patio of their house, which the family uses as a dog hotel and their schoolmates started calling them my little donkey?
a child like that would have a grudge.

If an article is focusing on Biden’s age then good chance the person behind it is Pro-Trump or an ignorant Clod:
What is particularly irritating is that Biden has always been a bit prone to verbal gaffes, at least in part because of a lifelong speech impediment that means he occasionally has trouble saying a word he actually totally knows. But the press seems determined to focus on any minor slip up Biden makes as some kind of sign his mind is going, while giving a free pass to the “stable genius” who still brags about passing the “are you a vegetable?” test like it granted admittance to Mensa and conducts his campaign rallies with all the focus and mental acuity of a stroke victim who’s been shotgunning salvia and toad venom smoothies.

Hey! My dad is over that age. Yet he’s still a much sharper driver than most 20-30 year old doltards on the road.
I wouldn’t just dismiss people like that. However, they should get tested or verified in someway, just in case. If they’re 70 and over… they likely shouldn’t be driving.

@Zincy
I’m not saying we DONT test, I’m saying we test everybody like you suggest.
it’s only normal. It’d be more assuring to know that everybody who’s driving must have somehow passed their regular testing.
If you test everybody, then naturally you WILL have less old ppl driving. IMO if you only start testing 60+yo ppl, that’s only because you have not the time nor resources to be testing drivers under that age.
Besides, the assumptions that, if anyone is under 40 that means they can drive is not true.
Heck I don’t trust GEN ALPHA to drive safely, and we’re only two years away from them being legal enough to be behind the wheels.

Basic biology.
Like it or not, on average your faculties do start to decline considerably past 60. It will affect us all eventually.
While it’s true there are plenty of 65+ that can drive just as good as the average driver, there are also many who do not. Especially those who already had visual or motor impairments earlier in life. Those impairments can increase dramatically with age.
It’s not ageist or unfair to point out that it is a natural part of the aging process and that society as a whole may need to be willing to pay closer attention to these individuals when they are behind the wheel.
For both their safety and the safety of others.
Increasing the prevalence of testing and monitoring is one way to do it, and I don’t think that should be an overly controversial thing. If you’re still of sound faculties, then the test should be a trivial cakewalk. If your faculties have slipped to the point of it being a danger to yourself and others, then thems the breaks, better to act on it then let it go.
Driving is, ultimately, a privilege, not a right. And if you are a danger to yourself and others, you do not have the “right” to continue to be so.

My dad’s 65 and he drives like a champ so, imo 65 is not THAT old (for driving). But I agree with regular tests every so often for road readiness. For everyone, whatever age.
May be that someone relatively young have developed an impediment or conditions that impair their driving skills, who knows. I’d rather old age not be a certain cutoff for revoking driving license especially in a place highly dependent on personal vehicles to get to basic goods and services.
But if you revoke 65yo of their licenses how are they gonna get anywhere? That’s an age where ppl are generally still able enough to live independently or with minimal assistance.
You gonna have to either move them to a place where anything is accessible in walking distance or provide them with vehicles or means of personal transportation.

If you’re over the age of 65 you should have your license revoked, or at least be required to take a road test every 5 years to see if you’re still capable. I hope she was deemed at fault and is required to pay for the damages.
One time I was at work doing my rounds outside with the carts, and I witnessed this old lade who looked like she was in her 80s, have a hard time backing out and ended up scraping the side of another parked car, quite audibly, I might add, I could hear the scraping. She just drove off like nothing happened. I checked the parked car and sure enough there was a good gash on the bottom rear of said car. I feel bad for the person that came out and saw it.
