“The world of Equis, warmed by the sun, cooled under the moon, guarded by the princesses commanding the celestial elements, the metaphysical powers that exist between all sapient beings.
but that is not even anything that makes up the very world, those elements are held by the Elder Dragons, grandparents to the living mortal species of the world.
All pieces of nature had an incarnation of immense power, that would regularly ascend from one of their children, in order to renew the presence of their element and conduct a long reign where they would watch over the world, then be called away and leave their might to wane, until the next of their children takes up the mantle.
The next time of the Elders is coming up in the cycle, and so the Elder’s gift manifests in their children again, urging them to begin a journey and fully master their power, claiming their element fully and ascending into an elder dragon.”
“that sounds pretty stupid i mean yeah dragons get big but they’re not gods.”
“it sounds less stupid once i tell you that Discord is such an elder… even if he got slapped with the demotion stick hard enough they don’t even call him anymore. the Elder Dragons and the fire breathing lizards we know today couldn’t be more different, even if they like all species are descended from them. including you, my child.”
“yeah right, a tiny little breezie like me?”
“ALL species, my boy, haven’t you noticed how the moment you spread around pollen the flower go practically into overdrive to reproduce? how whenever you would struggle a friendly sparrow would land to help you out? you are the incarnation of the wilderness, the forests and what dwells within will gradually bow to you.”
“that’s why you told me i need to leave?”
“yes, much as it pains me, you will outgrow our realm in time as well, we cannot keep you here. you must leave for equis, find other future ascendants, and find purpose as you travel the gift can manifest in anyone and they can do what they wish with it, the compulsion to grow the gift will in time drive them to look for ways.”
with that the conversation between the breezies ends and the younger indeed leaves, splitting from the group that leaves to grab pollen at equis.
