Sounds In the Night, Parts One and Two: The dread entity Squirk awakens, and his will and his voice start to invade the minds of those unfortunate ponies who were once corrupted and controlled by dark magic. Luna is strong enough to overcome his influence, but Trixie, Rarity, and Stygian are struggling to resist. While Twilight and the other Princesses attempt to seek out and confront Squirk, the rest of the Mane Six, as well as a number of their friends and allies, try to help his victims stay strong enough to defy his control, while Starlight, Sunburst, and Star Swirl search for an alternate means of breaking his hold on their friends. Guest stars Samuel Ramey from “Over the Garden Wall” as Squirk. Songs: "The Call" (Squirk) and "Give Me a Sign" (Sweetie Belle)

And they had opportunities to get someone semi-famous in their specials, and they blew it.

(Un)Lucky Star: Starlight cast a spell on herself which is supposed to grant her good luck for 24 hours. It backfires and curses her with bad luck for 3 days. And there’s no way to cure the curse other than just waiting for it to wear off. Shenanigans and slapstick ensue.

The Seekers:
 
The Washouts are practicing for their next performance, when they discover their crowd has fallen in love with a new stunt group: The Seekers.
 
Lead by a pegasus stallion named Starscream, the Seekers are a extremely reckless and dangerous group who sabotage The Washouts.
 
Lightning Dust begins to see herself in Starscream, and decides to have the Washouts prove that the Seekers are a threat to the safety of every pony.
 
The Seekers are defeated, and Lightning Dust decides to make amends with Rainbow Dash.
 
Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp: The Seekers, are given the option of lowering the dangerous stunts, stop performing at all, or be imprisoned in Tartarus for their extremely dangerous, and perhaps treacherous, stunts.
 
The Seekers agree to lower the dangerous stunts, and end up joining with The Washouts.

Didn’t Sam Vincent voice Thundercracker in Armada? I don’t think the Unicron Trilogy (which was dubbed in Canada) ever had a version of Skywarp…

Though if they want a real throwback, have Frank Welker voice Skywarp since he voiced him in G1.

Equestria Girls Special: Field Trip of Friendship  
Starlight organizes a field trip to the Human World with the Student Six in tow. The students find themselves as high school students and a dog, and will have to learn new tricks to survive the new world. Lucky for them, Sunset Shimmer is there to help them out. Meanwhile, Sandbar gets a crush on Sunset and tries to woo her.
