why did luna wanna hurt herself in Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep?

the episode was awesome! but why would luna punish herself for what nightmare moon did?? couldn’t she just leave behind her past self?? why would she do that! why would she create the tantabus? it was going to haunt everypony! everpyony run! it was going to the real world!!!! was the real world equestria grils world? anyways would you tlel me why luna hurtt herself?

Because she was crawling in her skin and needed to relieve herself of the edge she has.
 
Then she was told to get over it and everything went okay.

It was basically guilt over everything she did as nightmare moon.

I can tell you 1st hand when you feel horrible about yourself you feel like the world doesn’t deserve you, your feel so sad and angry at yourself you feels as if you want to punish yourself for even being alive. It really hard for some to cope with something like that. What else do you think.😔🤔

Yes. Coming with empathy here is it a healthy way of overcoming ill doings? No but that’s what I was trusting for years, harshly self-deprecating myself to no benefit when I wanted to go to sleep earlier for one example. It probably reaches far deeper into the nightmares I had though.

I guess it’s why i relate to Luna, scratch that I’m nicknamed Luna at school for a reason. XD

I relate with Luna well enough to say that I do the same thing, as in mentally beating myself up over being different. Being alone all the time, I feel I’m being punished so I hurt myself to try and “fix” my issues. It only places denial in the back of mind and temporarily forget about it.
