The first season was pretty mediocre to me on it’s own (aside from the fan works and it being the start).
 
However, 2010 was kind of a cartoon graveyard. So along comes an entertaining cartoon with a diverse cast, and tons of fan work being pumped out. So yeah, it caught my attention.
 
Also it did have some gems that made me see what the show is capable of becoming (like Sonic Rainboom, Party of One, and a Bird in the Hoof).

Gusty, because her villain didn’t pull a repeat performance, and it’s been significantly longer than Equestria has even been a country since then.

Well, I’m glad the show got better for you instead of mostly declining in my eyes.

The finale was cool.

I feel bad putting Season 4 so low because it’s not like I disliked it, but it just wasn’t a very memorable season for me. Consider it “the least good of the good seasons”. Also I do want to acknowledge that while I largely disliked Season 7 it also gave us Perfect Pear and the sphinx so it had some serious saving graces ;D

Might as well post my bottom 20 episodes of the show.

I can say with confidence not a single episode of S9 managed to make it into my three least favorite episodes, meaning my highly controversial opinions (which I won’t share right now because I’ve debated enough about them) are permanent. That’s fun, I like that.

I don’t feel like making a list of favorites and least favorites, it’ll always be the same. Best episode is Sleepless In Ponyville, worst is Newbie Dash.

I have so many problems with this

You know. I’m kinda surprised we didn’t get another Friendship Is Magic soundtrack. Then again, there’s like a handful of great songs from S6-S9. The rest range from decent, to mediocre, to just bad. Plus they’ll be too much leftover songs to fit on one disk if you want a psychical copy.
 
Maybe that the series is over, they’ll release one in the future. But i don’t know.
