Unpopular opinion time

I don’t know if this is unpopular and I don’t know if any of you already saw them, but out of the two Best Gift Ever shorts that Hasbro released on YouTube, I liked the first one better than the second one.

The first one is “Triple Pony Dare Ya” and the second one is “The Great Escape Room”. They’re both on Hasbro’s official YouTube Channel.

Am I the only one here that likes the Elements of Insanity fandom of the show? No? Just me? Kay ;3;

I really can’t care for the Insane 6. They’re schtick begins and ends with their concept.
 
But I’ve found myself surprisingly intrigued by the Painset and Magic Mare subplots. ^{Mostly because unlike the others they actually have a plot, but I digress}.

I’d like him a lot more if they’d bring his characterization from the comics to the show; characters who are yuge asses turning out to have real depth and actual usefulness are hecka more interesting to watch than one-note jerkwads.

Which is precisely why the “Deviations” comic featuring him was so bad; it made him even MORE of a one-note jerkass.

Even though his characterization SHOULD be different because of the different circumstances.
 
Worst part was Katie Cook saying in the author’s note at the end, “I could’ve made him redeemable, but nah, he sucks lol.”

Sounds of Silence is kinda overrated.
 
I think it’s a pretty solid episode, but not “10/10 OMG GREATEST EPISODE EVAR” like a lot of people said when it first premiered.

Don’t know what to think about Fluttershy’s farting gag from the lastest IDW comic drawn by Pencils.

It’s one of those episodes that has strengths so large they subsume the entire episode. Like, I have very fond memories of the episode. It FEELS like a classic episode to me, just on the strength of the song and Autumn. But as a whole episode I agree that it isn’t perfect. It’s just very easy to let the good things about it wash over you.
