@Spinny
She did volunteer, but it was a stipulation of the trade that Fluttershy be pulled from her life to serve somebody else for an undetermined period of time. I’m honestly surprised a deal like that is even legal
Lookit this guy who’s never worked in retail.
Maybe sheep wool is still a commodity in this world, but nothing else makes any sense
Wool and weedeating would be enough for sheep, and truffle finding enough for hogs, but there’s also the matter of where dog and cat food comes from; both are obligate carnivores and trying to feed them a
~vegetarian~ diet is animal abuse and scumbaggery. Sheep and cows can talk so obviously they’re off the menu, but we’ve never seen any indication that pigs or chickens have any meaningful level of intelligence.
@ILoveMyoozik
Look Before You Sleep, one of the worst episodes of Season 1
@LeoNero
I didn’t like that episode either
Livin’ up to the thread title right here.
Because people don’t want to let it go, and rather complain years later about ‘‘Faust would never let that happen’’
This sort of attitude is part of my point about “the show didn’t tell the story the way you wanted it told =/= the story being bad”; the Church Of Faust people are one of the groups that can’t grasp the fact that disappointment is the fan’s problem, not the show’s.
Image macros when it comes to ships are the worst
I’d take those any day over image macros that are just screencaps with “sexy” text on them, which are pretty much the living definition of cringe. It is
luridly obvious that they’re only ever made by awkward teenagers who haven’t seen a naked booby in person since they went on bottled milk; if you cut out all the ones made by people who aren’t old enough to legally be churning out sexual content in the first place, there’d be like five or six left out of the thousands that are clotting up Derpi now.
@Jarkes
Especially her ‘‘Rainbow Dash wouldn’t be good big sister material’’ quote. That was terrible and I’m glad we got Rainbow being a cool big sister to Scootaloo in later seasons
She was right, though; Faust’s involvement in the show didn’t really extend beyond setting up the world and managing Season 1 and the first few episodes of S2, and Season 1 Rainbow Dash was absolutely too much of a self-centered asshole to be a decent older sister. She wasn’t a bad person or irredeemable or anything, but she
did need a couple seasons of character development before Sleepless In Ponyville or Flight To The Finish could happen.
@Megas75
Had Faust stayed we’d probably never got the RD/Scootaloo dynamic
I’m
fairly sure that “character development” was something she had planned on doing, what with some of that actually occurring in her outline for S1-S2.
