Attributing it to a group as a whole just dehumanizes it, stereotypes it, and perpetuates the hate. It’s individual people who are being the assholes. I mean, it’s not like you had to take an aptitude and personality test to determine whether you were suited to be a brony, right? :P

I suppose it’s something that’s hypocritical for me to criticize, as I’m someone within a show’s fandom who will make jabs at things I don’t like.

It especially sucks that we haven’t gotten a legit Pony video game as the show has lots of material that could make for a good video game under the right devs. I mean I like to shit on the fandom, but you’d think with the influx of older fans you’d think Hasbro would consider it

I mean fuck we’ve had popular ships of characters who hadn’t even been on the same screen together. Fluttermac was one of Fluttershy’s most popular ships for a while despite the fact that none of them had even been on the same screen together until S4. Don’t even get me started on fucking Mauxie

You know what I really liked about No Second Prances?
 
Neither Twilight, Trixie, nor Starlight were 100% in the wrong or 100% in the right. They all made mistakes, but it was understandable why they each acted the way they did.
 
You just don’t see that kind of nuance in kid’s shows very often anymore.
