This seems like the most unnecessary character transformation since… the last several character transformations.
 
But hey, at least Starlight and Flash aren’t in this movie.

Just because they aren’t on the cover, doesn’t mean they won’t appear. Also, I would like Starlight to appear, if just for a small part.

Well I don’t really expect Starlight to show up in the movie outside of a background appearance, considering her VA isn’t listed on the movie’s IMDB page.

Not really. She’s like Sunset done wrong… and I didn’t think Sunset was done entirely right, either.

I don’t really think Lightning Dust should make another appearance in the show. Not really a big fan of her.

I’d argue that she’s better than people give her credit, but Starlight is a landmine in this fandom, and even mentioning her can set it off.

Either she’ll have a very minor role or not be there. Not sure if either is good tbh. Depends on how season 7 plays, and what exactly she’s doing at the time.

Lightning was just a meaner RD, and I already have a dislike for RD.

That’s cause she literally was another spark of giant fandom drama. It’s the inclusion of a new “main” character to the show, of course people are gonna explode when her name comes up.

Yes, but season 4 proved to use alicorn Twi well (at least imo) and has time to settle down in the fandom (it’s old news) and it’s not like Flurry is a main character per say. The inclusion of a character within the main cast is a much bigger impact than either incident to be honest.

I was honestly thinking it would take a while for season 7 to have an episode that I’m actually looking forward to. But nope, episode 4 sounds great.

Maud might move to Ponyville and Pinkie is going to help her see that the town has more than just rocks to it.
 
Overall though I’m still not keen on seaon seven.

Wierd Al was born in California and resides completely in the US. Most of the other celebrity guest stars that have been, or will be on the show (Lena Hall, Patton Oswalt, Felicia Day) are also completely American.
 
Apparently the work law doesn’t prohibit non-Canadian from working on Canadian shows, it just forces producers to pay them more as well as pay higher taxes thus encouraging them to hire Canadians to keep expenses down.
