I miss the days whenever Glim Glam showed up early in an episode or comic everyone would be all “Glimmer’s here. She’s about to cause the conflict.” Or if she showed up late everyone would be all “Glimmer’s here. She’s about to end the conflict.”

speaking as someone with autism (& also friends who are also autistic), I can tell you that like a lot of people who don’t have autism, we come in many different ways. me for example, my friends talk more than I do
 
& what EC87 said is just plain narrow minded.

Not trying to start anything but a lot of people in the fandom claim to have autism …

autistic or not, shouldn’t the fact that people like the show be the only thing that matters? not getting at you, just thought i’d say.

I’m tired of Patreon images almost always getting into arguments about paywalls and how we need to pay to see porn and shit.

Autism is often used as an insult from the more unsavory parts of the fandom, this muddles the details when people who actually are autistic exist, of which there are many legit cases, and probably just as many people faking it or using it for ‘teh lulz’.

It’s a spectrum, a lot of people are legitimately autistic(even if never officially diagnosed). Its not always immediately obvious, since everyone talks and behaves differently, regardless of autism.  
Hell, even people without autism can come across as autistic so there’s gonna be false positives and false negatives, so you never really know.  
You’ve more than likely traded words with many autistic people.

I have to admit I’ve slipped on a few occasions and used autistic as an insult, mostly on YouTube because why not, right? I’m among the bottom-feeders on that site anyway, so why not just lower myself to their level every so often? I try to limit saying that, “gay” and “retarded” on this site because I don’t want to look like a 10-year-old tryhard child.

I’m guilty of using all of those, along with others, in private chats or with friends, more than I’d like to admit. Mostly for ~ironic~ reasons, or to be absurd, but I still use them when I shouldn’t. Got privilege for one of them anyway.

I have Asperger’s, but I rarely bring it up on the Internet because I fear that if I do, people will use it as an excuse to mock me. That actually has happened before.
