I love the idea of Rainbow Factory. I never read the fic, so I don’t know of its execution, though I feel that having Dash as a willing worker misses the opportunity of her being a victim and forced to admit these atrocities “for the greater good.”

I like Rainbow Factory, the story is quite good. But people keep say it’s a rip-off of Cupcake which is a overrated fanfic, I say it’s not because of the interesting details and characterization in Rainbow Factory is wayyyyyyyy better than Cupcake.

I hate Cupcakes and all the fics it inspired.

what reason would Starlight have for worrying Celestia might turn evil?  
Her nightmare brain conjured Nightmare Moon out of anxiety over The Sisters’ squabbling, but only after Celestia Actual appears; it seemed kind of obvious to me that Daybreaker following on was just an extension of that anxiety in the form of a fear that the Nightmare Effect might work in both directions. I really did not infer any indication of Daybreaker being Celestia’s creation at all.

My headcanon is that her parents named her Ditzy Doo, but she prefers Derpy so that’s what her friends call her. Which is pretty much how it actually happened, metatextually.

Just search for the character name with the r63 tag; depictions aren’t completely universal. They almost all tend to be fairly similar, but that’s just because the Mane Six have such distinct character designs already that artists are trying to include enough of the major design elements to clearly indicate who they are.

Point. I do have to wonder where Blitz’s black eyebrows came from (although I do like them, since they give him a unique touch that makes him a little more than just a “male Rainbow Dash” visually).

I’m guessing this might have been mentioned already, but I’m NOT looking forward to the movie. It borrows so much from G1 that it doesn’t even look like something from FiM. I also don’t like the animation either, since it lacks the Cartoon Network-ish snappiness that the TV version has.

A reasonable argument, but I still feel that, based on how Daybreaker appeared and how the actual Celestia reacted to her, she’s a manifestation of her nightmare instead. Just the way Daybreaker taunts her… mentioning how Celestia knows she is more powerful. That speaks to a fear Celestia keeps pretty well hidden, and one I wouldn’t expect Starlight to know.
 
Still, it is all open to interpretation. Since the show doesn’t really give a definitive indication either way, I suspect it will have to remain relegated to the realm of opinion and headcanon.

A while back, in a fic of mine set in the far future, I had a poorly-disguisd Rarity stand-in called Nonpareil.
