that’s been my problem with her lately. but ever since going out of s4, they played her down a bit.
The show has to give us some reason to believe that the world is lived in and that others are just as interested as her at magic, that it’s not a fatalistic world whose inhabitants say, “what’s even the point? Those guys are always going to be better than everyone, so why bother?”. that may not be what the writers intended, but that’s how I’m seeing it, especially when I look at so many completely incompetent ponies everywhere, even in the highest positions of society.. there’s not even so much as some kind of Mages’ Tower, or something along the lines, even though there’s barracks and Royal guards, military for the pegasus?
This is another thing with Twilight that I can’t get around.. In Twilight’s cutie mark, the 5 stars being her friends. That is SO ON POINT, it’s just baffling to me. Say she has many stars around her brightly shining star, it still means the same thing, people surrounding her make her shine brighter, but to me, it seems better because it seems like an idea, or maybe a thought, where as the 5 stars being her friends seems more like a direct objective in life, all it’s missing is, “0/5 Best Friends Acquired”.
it’s just a weird thing.. and I guess Lauren must’ve meant that to be clever, but it just muddles the whole thing for me and it makes her cutie mark actually different from the rest.
Take for example, AJ’s 3 apples, Rarity’s 3 diamonds, Fluttershy’s 3 butterflies and Pinkie Pie’s 3 balloons. Can you explain the Literal connection with whatever that number 3, for each of these 4 characters? these examples of course, leaving out Rainbow Dash, whose cutie mark is probably the best out of all of them, imo.
