well nothing came from cinemacon as far as a trailer  
so guess we’ll just have to play the waiting game to find out when  
but I’m betting transformers or even a trailer along with boss baby.

Okay so this animated movie called Ferdinand just got a trailer amd it’s not coming out til December yet MLP hasn’t gotten a trailer yet and it’s coming out in October and supposedly it’s not getting one until August.
 
the marketing for this movie is going to be a disaster.

Paranoia much? And you still have no proof that the Friendship Day trailer will be the ONLY sort of trailer we get.
 
The Power Rangers movie actually ended up doing far better than I expected despite the initial lack of marketing, because after the second trailer, Lionsgate basically went all out with the marketing.
 
I suspect something similar will happen here. We’ll get a teaser probably around May or something, then we’ll get the Friendship Day trailer, and then they’ll basically go nuts with the marketing at that point.

2 months sounds like enough time for me.  
if the movie bombs because of the marketing it will be because they barely showed the trailers not because they released in 2 months before the release of the movie

Yeah, 40.5 million on opening weekend, but that’s still pretty damn impressive considering the previous two Power Rangers movies were total flops (The 1995 MMPR movie made only about 13 million on opening weekend. The Turbo movie? 3 million.) AND it was higher than the projected opening weekend earnings.

I’m not expecting this movie to be a number 1 box office smash and win movie of the year. I’m just expecting a great movie.

compering it to the two low budget & 90’s rangers movies is a little compering apples to oranges might work with franchise like STAR WARS but doesn’t really work well with rangers
 
who cares that it got higher then it was projected? the film was expected to be 1st at the box office by the studios that made it & supporting partys they did all that work all that hype all that marketing just to come 2nd basically higher projected numbers are meaningless on less they have visible results

I just expect a good movie. I don’t expect it to break records and win movie of the year. Even the most hardcore of MLP fans can see that.

Obviously not. That title will go to one of the myriad sequels, most likely Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

slightly easyer to understand version: even if they show trailer in cinemacon it won’t release officially to the general public until later time similar scenario to the toyfair when they showed it to selected group so tomorrow might not change much unless there’s a big leak on some site
