Like I said, the film could turn out to be a surprise hit for all we know
 
So the whole “MLP is for girls/bronies are weird” argument could be rendered irrelevant if the film actually does well enough, both critically and financially
 
But alas, idiots will be idiots.  
And if all goes to well and they still wanna make us look bad…fuck ’em.
 
Just enjoy the movie, and don’t feed the parasprites.

I’m well-aware that what I’m saying is just speculation and mere assumptions on my part. Nothing I’ve said is necessarily true, but there’s not much to prove my (admittedly optimistic) argument false either right now.
 
Whether the film WILL turn out good or not all depends on the final product, naturally. That’s what will make all the difference.

Zoe Saldana has been announced as being part of the movie’s cast.

When do you think we will get the teaser trailer?  
I was thinking late February early to mid March.

There are five books based on the movie coming out on August 29th. Expect the movie to be spoiled well in advance.

I’m hopefully pessimistic about this film. Movies based on long running cartoons tend to be hit and miss, and often seem like cash-grabs to me. But the fact that the same people working on the show itself (which, I feel, has not dropped in quality at all) gives me a sliver of hope.

Kinda this i think,i checked some trailers from upcoming movie and the gap between the first trailer and the proper release is ,indeed, more or less 9 months.

The fact that they got McCarthy (for the MLP lore experience) and former Disney’s Mulan writer Rita Hsiao (for the movie writing experience) make me confident that ,at least, it will be okay/average in the worst case scenario

Hope there’s a trailer for it during the Super Bowl tonight, but that doesn’t seem likely…

I think we might get a teaser if lucky but I highly doubt it.  
But I think even the teaser is going to be released either March or April as it’s still a little early.

Well it appears there has been some kind of release today. EQD just posted character designs and names for some of the celebrity characters a bit ago.
