October 6th, 2017 huh? That lines up nicely with FiM’s 7th anniversary. *checks the competition for the hell of it* X-Men: Gambit, Blade Runner 2 and an untitled Fox/Marvel movie (which is getting a limited release likely as a special deal before going wide, which is probably Deadpool 2).

Apparently the movie will be called my little pony: friendship adventure  
I hope not, because that’s the most unoriginal lame title they can make.

Is this translation definitely legit? Half of it sounds like a load of bollocks.

I think it sounds like crap so far, just by the sound of that. But, maybe once we hear more and know more it’ll be better.

Seaponies unhyped me hard. At least they don’t waste an episode with them. I hope so.

I really hope this is BS translations, my hype went down with this tbh :S

So what happened to that deal they had with Sony?

Never was taken seriously after Sony made unrealistic demands, and Sony never thought it would work anyway.

Oh wow, I wonder what were those demands. After all, those are probably the same people Genndy Tartakovsky had to deal with when he was producing Hotel Transilvania,

Sony refused to help make the movie as an animated feature and didn’t believe it would sell unless it was a live-action/CGI film set on Earth like The Smurfs. Hasbro simply didn’t want to make that kind of movie so they just sort of quietly passed on working with Sony to make the movie.
 
Now Lionsgate is distributing it and Hasbro is making it completely internally.
