The G1 Appreciation Thread

Wind Whistler and Firefly need to be paired more (not necessarily romantically) in fan… stuff. The daredevil and the scholar, total opposites but both hang with Megan a lot and even have the same colors but swapped… if you hadn’t seen the show and known that we only see Firefly in RAMC, you’d probably assume they were made to stand side by side. They should be our Kirk and Spock. (Though I’m not sure what that makes Megan; she’s not gruff enough to be McCoy…)  

 
These two… they only had one major appearance (well, I think Locket gets to actually do something in a couple scenes in Quest of the Princess Ponies) but they also get background appearances standing side by side, so I kinda think of them as the G1 Lyra and Bon Bon.

I wish I could make a pony show with an art style closer to that of the 80s pilot. I just found that style very cute.

JanAnimations could imitate the G4 art style flawlessly, so I reckon G1 style would be a cinch for him.
