These ponies were also known “Fairy Brights”… They should have been called Fancy Fairy Swirl Brights.

Oh! I answered my own question… Thanks internet…
Fancy Swirl ponies, are a set of G1 My Little Ponies, that never made it past prototype stage. The ponies were supposed to set in a ‘celestial’ type theme, representing space alien ponies. Each pony was supposed to come with a marbled, two toned body, with antennas, tinsel in their hair and outer space themed romp designs.

There exists another G1 Twilight that few people know about. She’s a pegasus and was originally one of the “So Soft” ponies… She was featured in the MLPNF episode “Flight to Cloud Castle”.
Fanart of her is extremely rare. It’s even hard to find on Derpi because her formal tag is “So Soft Twilight”. I actually didn’t realize she was one of the So Soft’s until now, and only managed to find her because the first image below had both Twilight tags.

Me too, but it’s unambiguous at least. Does it come up in inline tag completion? That bit’s broken for me.
(I always try to overtag the comics and stories, and tag them so they don’t form a disconnected island away from the G4 stuff🕸)

When I upload G1 images, I try to think of all the relevant tags that I might use to look for that image, as well as tags that make the image unique. To me it just seems unnecessary (most of the time) to include broad descriptive tags such as, “pony”, “male, “female”, “mare”, “stallion”, “earth pony”, etc.
