I think this is the best analysis and comparison I’ve seen of RR and FF so far. Very well done! I’ll definitely be referring to this.
 
My only nitpick: Come on, don’t use decimal point scores. Forgotten Friendship is either an 8 or a 9, pick one.

I honestly don’t mind. EG will continue beyond FiM anyway and if they do more crossovers with FiM, it’d be more suitable in EG.

I’m not usually to use decimal scores, either. The problem is that Rainbow Rocks and Forgotten Friendship are so close for me that I had to use a decimal score in this case just to make clear that I thought Rainbow Rocks was a bit better. If I had to choose between an 8 or a 9 for Forgotten Friendship, I’d definitely go with a 9, which would mean that both Rainbow Rocks and Forgotten Friendship would have equal scores, which would defeat the entire point of my post being about figuring out which one of those is better.

FiM ending first would probably give them more freedom to do what they want with Equestria in regards to EqG too.

Goddamn do I love Nick more everyday. Everyone else has been squeamish on giving straight answers when it comes to the EU, but here this guy is making tweets saying “It’s all connected, but we gotta prioritize coherency first.”

Again, I cannot feasibly see EG having over two years’ worth of life left in it.
 
Just considering everything, like how EG is tethered to high school and the series is now implying that the current school year has come to an end, leaving them with only one more left (although up to this point, I was actually under the impression that they were already seniors). How the series is beginning to stagnate when it comes to villains, given that we’ve now had two in a row that have simply been ordinary teenagers that just happened to get their hands on magical artifacts. How many more times can they honestly recycle that? The fact that what little character arc Sunset had is basically complete now that the much-desired reunion with Celestia has been fulfilled. And so on, and so on.
 
I’m sorry, but color me entirely skeptical that EG will continue into 2020. I just can’t see it at this point.

Yeah, but one is a Queen Chrysalis/Adagio Dazzle wannabe in male form, and the other is a sexist. I want diabolical do badders.

I still don’t like the insistence that only the Humane Seven are allowed to have magic. It’s like those old Superman comics where he doesn’t like anyone else that has any kind of powers and goes to great lengths to remove them, no matter their intention, because “the world isn’t ready”.
 
I don’t think Trixie actually counts because that entire scene was played for laughs and she didn’t “pony up” or anything like that.
