In my opinion Twilight is a lot better at magic than friendship, I have no idea what’s with that “Princess of Friendship” deal.
 
Barely related but back when the Elements of Harmony were a thing, Twilight had the Element of Magic, it was a star shaped thing. Though those elements weren’t plot relevant since the season 4 premier.

Probably cause it was explicitly referred to as Magic in the second part of the pilot episodes.

Ok so question here. Do any of you think the movies and specials of Equestria Girls feel like they’re poorly written?

I’m sorry, but that makes no sense. None of the other mane 6 elements are the exact same as their talent. Twilight’s shining moment in the Season 3 finale came from her acknowledging the other Mane 6 as her friends. When Twilight’s element was tested in the Season 4 finale, it had nothing to do with magic, but with her choosing her friends over her abilities, and Discord explicitly says that his token is one of friendship, not magic. Yeah, Twilight’s not the absolute best at it, but the same could be said of Rarity’s Generosity and Dash’s Loyalty. I get that it’s suppose to be the show’s play on the whole, “Friendship IS Magic” thing, and I know it’s a very minor detail, but it’s one that started to get on my nerve come Season 3.

I hesitate to say poorly written. They have their flaws, certainly, but I don’t think flaws necessarily equate to an indication of bad writing.

That’s the pun, the idea is that she’s wielding the Magic of friendship but regardless her element is called the element of magic multiple times in the show

Why don’t the new changelings shapeshift into their old form after getting their evolution or upgrade? Badabing badaboom problem solved. They don’t go hungry anymore and people who liked their old aesthetics could be happy with that.

If you’re a fan of anything above suggestive or questionable (I think questionable is higher), then it shall always remain a mystery to me. I could list a lot of stuff I don’t like, but that’s negative thinking.

Saw a fidget spinner OC pony…and one irl today. What is the point?? They just…SPIN. I mean maybe Spinny would be into it but I don’t get it.

I guess if I had one I’d play with it but people are acting like it’s some big thing when it’s just…a spinny toy.
