Starlight Glimmer- What is the opinion of her still?

Or Trixie and Sunburst get sick of waiting because Starlight cannot decide and get together themselves. All aboard the Sunxie? Triburst?

i like her a lot, but not as much as i initially did when i was first getting used to her. she’s still great!!
 
sometimes her temper can get to be a bit much, is all. sometimes it also does give her funny lines, and a more relatable perspective though, so i guess its a rose with thorns.

Best pony, is in my opinion.

At the beginning I hated her, but as she developed more and more she became my favourite MLP character.

But I respect your opinion if she isn’t your favorite. Plenty of other mares on the show. ;)

Headcanon wise I believe she is part of the mane cast, but in reality she doesn’t have much screentime with them so it’s hard to justify, but for the sake of fantasy (mine and I bet plenty of others) I’ll say welcome to the team, Moondancer!
 
She is still more of a secondary character unlike Trixie who like kinda catapulted herself into stardom. XD

At this point, I definitely like Starlight, but I am concerned with how the character is being handled. Once she got over all the angst, she started becoming a discount Twilight for narrative purposes. She still has a distinct character, but that distinction was defined largely by flaws that the show has corrected. She’s not as rash and impulsive, which is okay, but makes her less interesting. “A Matter of Principals” was the turning point for me- her not demanding an apology from Discord felt off, and not something she would do. As much as empathy is her thing, part of what made her stand out was how pragmatic she was about the “magic of friendship” thing and that she wasn’t an idealist like Twilight. Taking that away has made her kinda bland, which is a shame because I really like her.

I think she still addresses that. I think she still has tendency to throw some shade at the power of friendship. She still has some doubts and can resort to other means other than friendship.
 
As for that discord episode, is the one where Pinkie says they came back from a cavern with carnivorous worms creatures? I have to watch it again. I do know that’s where Starlight blew Discord away. I thought it was resolved alright.

Yes I agree, from the time the mane 6 had a meeting whether to let Starlight enter the mane club to today as Friendship school counselor she has grown tremendously both in temperament and social work.

I kinda agree. And discount Twilight is right, because like Twilight she had character development, got over her issues, became a hero and… kinda got a little boring.
