Starlight Glimmer Appreciation Thread

Ugh… Just finished watching Silver Quill’s “Cutie Re-Mark” review…  
… and I didn’t know how much could you misrepresent character in 20 minutes.
 
On related note, never knew why this thread was needed in the first place. Was there some kind of big drama about Starlight once she came to the show?

Yeah, you could say that. I mean, there wasn’t, i suppose, because technically it’s not was, but is. Starlight is far and away the most divisive character in the show, mainly due to “Every Little Thing She Does”, which is very poorly written.

Alright alright… I know that my views may vary ALOT from other people…
 
But I have no idea what arguments could people have against Starlight. Ever since she appeared in season 5 premiere, She has been the best thing to ever happen to the show in my opinion.

…It couldn’t have been THAT bad, since he’s said before that he likes post-reformation Starlight.

Starlight looks positively phenomenal

Not since she came to the show. But there was BIG drama once she reformed. It was damn near Twilicorn levels of drama. But unlike Twilicorn, the Starlight drama never ceased. So one could argue it’s technically worse than the Twilicorn drama.

He may like post reformation Starlight, but he’s still not at all a fan of the first step of the reformation. As much as I like Silverquill, he still greatly misunderstands Starlight’s motives. Like Sunburst leaving was the ONLY reason she went evil and it was like a zero to a hundred type thing (that was more Tempest Shadow’s thing). But there’s a lot more to it than than and it’s staring us right in the face the whole time, to the point where if it were a snake it would’ve bit us.  
And I personally am mind boggled by just how much he, Hell, the entire fandom seems to miss it or even outright disregard it

Based off of the first ever post from this thread, i’m going to guess because of all the drama and negativity surrounding her reformation, her actions, her episodes or just her in general. OP got tired of it all and just made this to show love and appreciation of her and the rest was history.
 
I came to this thread after I left the other Starlight thread which was more about discussing her when I found out that it was nothing but a circlejerk for her detractors.

I was mostly joking when I was saying that. But even with that being said, that topic seems to hit a sore spot for some people in this thread.

Also agreed. Sometimes that happens here consider that people Gave different opinions about evil and good glimmer.

There is. It was originally about discussing her as a character and sharing both sides of the story but it more or less devolved into negative talk about her. I’m guessing this thread was created to counteract it.
