I agree with you. They are the mane character. So the special will focus on them and not Starlight.  
Don’t get me wrong, I also want a Starlight adventure with her friends.

But it happened in mean 6 episode. Small one but it did happen.I really don’t want to lose hopes :(

I was saying that her getting a special like that with her and her other friends wouldn’t happen. Her with the mane six probably won’t happen again because…..I dunno why? The writers don’t really seem to want her to mingle with them other than Twilight and Spike. Which I find odd because I can see her getting along with Fluttershy and there were itty bitty moments with her and Pinkie that made it look like they’d be a good duo.
 
Sorry if I sound so negative, but the season’s already halfway over and after that the show is done. And Starlight’s a side character and they don’t get much attention (sometimes they don’t get that much respect either to be honest) and it looks like her last episode was her last. It might not be but if it was I’d be greatly disappointed at best. But I guess that’s what happens when my favorite character is a side character…

Okay ~ my mistake. And we get you , a lot of Starlight fans or lovers , had already worry if Student counsel will be her last episode . And me too , since S9 premiere or maybe S8 finale . I still can’t believe Starlight under manipulative spell so easily .
 
She is able to match with Discord and block manipulative spell from Accord . Seeing her under hypnotized by Sombra …really make me hurt inside… almost dead . Not only because she lose from fight , it also make me wonder is she not important to the Show anymore …
 
 
I try to stay strong … but actually worry inside …. so negative is okay ~ everyone is worring .
 
I’m not sure if Chrysalis could be our hope , since she wants a revenge from Starlight so much , it will force the writers to have Starlight again. But I really hate to take it as a hope since I was worring Chrysalis will be too hard to her Since S7.
 
 
I am not sure if Starlight will be important to the show again ~ But giving up right now is a little premature , don’t you think ?

And the “main character” stopped being interesting around season 5-6…  
Which is why absolutely anyone else would make for a better “special”.

Premature? Not really. Like I said, she’s a side character. Hell the Students of all characters have more importance than her (I mean the tree of harmony saved them from that magical bubble but not her for some reason and that totally rubs me the wrong way). I know there’s the whole thing with Chrysalis, but I dunno. I don’t really wanna keep my hopes up just for it to come crashing down.
 
And I honestly didn’t have much a problem with her being mind controlled with everyone in the premiere in concept. My only issue was the fact that they did that with her literally right after the the season 8 finale which not only do I absolutely detest, but was far more of an insult to her character. The only reason why I don’t hate the whole Sombra thing is because unlike season 8, she wasn’t the only one in distress. So I kinda get what you’re saying. But it’s further proof that the show staff saw all the complaints about her being “shoved in our faces” or “forcing” her importance in the “expense” of the other characters and have tried to remedy that. I have this sneaking suspicion in my gut that that’s the case and the rest of the season will reflect that. But with all that said, I’d rather have her in small doses that are really good than to have her be in a good amount of episodes just for at least half of them almost ruin her character (like half of season 8).

What makes you so sure? It seems to me that the writers somehow have either have no idea what to do with her (if dumping literally ALL of Twilight’s leftovers onto her is anything to go by) or worse, have little interest in her anymore. Or even more worse, a combination of both

So that’s how you deal with the S9 Sombra thing . People can’t really insult her with that. Yeah %her insult is also a big problem % that’s why I stop watch the posts with over 20 comments …. because I just know something bad really there .
 
I can agree the writers might fix something about Starlight , so their show won’t get too much complaints. But I also have find the sign that the writers is stand in our side . Just like what they did in Fame and Misfortune episode.
 
If you don’t use that to against the haters , I can PM you what is it . Of course , it’s just my guess and suspicion.

I’m not worried though, I’m convinced. I’m pretty sure that what I said is true and I just accepted it. At least 95% of her episodes ranged from good to great, so there’s that.
