Indeed. She fought valiantly, against stronger foes, and it was enough to matter, in the grand scheme of things, even if she couldn’t do it herself here.
 
Also, it’s a bit ironic that the princesses had a cool moment without their great power… although they do get credit from me for going for the same kill shot they used on Sombra, with Cozy Glow (they weren’t playing, and if it weren’t for the bell they didn’t know she had with her, they would’ve stomped her), and for the resolution with those three; they were done with them.
 
(This was further confirmation that Celestia and Luna did NOT use the Elements to defeat Sombra, and I don’t think they did with Tirek either, considering Star Swirl was around back then. I think Discord is the first foe they had to use the Elements with.)

Just watched the finale. I don’t think I currently have the emotional strength to dig through the thread, so, can anyone tell me how people are feeling about it overall? What’s the general consensus on both the two-parter and the last problem?

The two-parter has quite mixed feelings, especially around the resolution for the various villains. The Last Problem is somewhat more widely liked, although not by everyone.

Well I feel like they should make Grogar as the final villain but what we get is already good to me.
 
The last Problem, emotional tears of liquid pride. It was a good ending send her to where it all began.

Thanks for the answers. I’m glad that people don’t hate it (I’m sure some do).
 
As for myself, the two-parter was a bit of a surprise. I felt like throughout the season there were hints at what it’s going to be - Grogar will be the real villain and the trio will succumb to the magic of friendship in some way, but everything end up being completely different. But not bad.
 
And for The Last Problem, I can’t really think straight about it. It seemed okay, but I’ll have to re-watch it once I’ll accept that the show has indeed ended. I had leaks laying around for weeks, and today I felt like I was ready. I wasn’t ready.

It’s not that bad. Her mane is a little out of control and the front part does look bad, but for the most part she’s just a purple Celestia. Which is not great, but… eh *shrug*.

It’s a good episode, especially for one with Fluttershy as the center this late in the game.
