Spike had his wings tortured by Chrysalis at one point and they threatened to kill him if the Mane Six came any closer. They were all mad and Twilight comforted him.

That’s the point. If the writers not gonna build up the young six to something, so why should we even care about these characters at all.

I’m hoping that the fandom lives on too. Especially because we don’t know what’s coming next.
