Wow, that episode was… odd I guess? I see what they where trying to do, lampshade the criticism usually directed at the writers by having the characters themselves react to it. However I feel they just tried to do too much and the message was kinda lost in all the chaos. I thought the moral would’ve been to focus on the bigger picture, that the ponies themselves weren’t as important as the lessons in the book, but that wasn’t it. It was that the Mane 6 aren’t perfect and make mistakes, which is painfully obvious and just really vague. That along with how they kept throwing in some valid criticisms in there too to make the points look sillier, Like the line with Fluttershy about being more assertive. And now I’m sitting here with more questions than answers about this episode, since the only real resolve to all of this was the Mane 6 telling everyone they aren’t perfect. So are ponies just going to always be like this around them from now on? Did AJ get all those people off her farm, did she go broke? What about Rarity’s businesses, people all across Equestria are boycotting her that’s a huge deal. And ect, each of these problems seem like an issue for another entire episode.
In summary I think the idea behind the episode was pretty good, but the execution seemed rushed and chaotic with not enough focus being given on each problem brought up.
