Friendship, Art, and Magic (2019) - Celebrated Derpibooru's seventh year anniversary with friends
Friendship, Art, and Magic (2018) - Celebrated Derpibooru's six year anniversary with friends.

The topic I’m more curious about was when starlight glimmer said her “manifesto” was years ago, she was referring to season five, so two years has passed since then?
Has Twilight been living in ponyville for seven years now? how old are the mane6!?

In season 1, they’re likely grown fillies (age 13-14) while in season 6/7, possibly in their 19-20

Could the reason why Daring Do is quitting in Daring Done is due to the journal revealing her identity?

Some on EqD brought something like this up.

I won’t be surprised. We might see even more stuff referencing this episode in the future if that is going to be the case.

It’s not like we didn’t have a good run. XD We got through more pages than I was expecting honestly.

Campfire Tales and Tripple Threat are the ones I’m most eager for.

I usually go into episodes with little expectation, I don’t tend to over hype myself, or spoil myself, though I guess Campfire Tales seems the most interesting to me at the moment

At some point near the end of the episode. The raging fan hordes showed signs of emerging factionalism among them.

The Mane 6 chose to simply ignore them. IRL things wouldn’t be that easy. Fans actually become more nastier the more they are ignored. Granted, it was an non-resolvable issue for the length of the episode. If it is not for the near perfect world they live in, Ponyville and perhaps much of Equestria would be a smoldering wreak embroiled in a riot or in a state of civil war. It could have been dangerous!

This could have been how Equestria becomes divided. I remember a old fanfic where the land was split into 6 warring factions.

The Anti-Normies
I just realize a big flaw of the episode: it plays with the idea that is the fandom bitching to the characters themselves…but they aren’t real and the fandom can’t do that. The reason why people can argue over how a fictional character is wrote/best than others/ruined is because they are fictional.

Okay, I very much enjoyed Fame and Misfortune. It brought a smile to my face and towards the end tears to my eyes.

This, with The Perfect Pear, is now one of my top two favorite episodes of the season. It enjoyable pokes fun at the fandom, a lot of their questions, criticisms, and other things which fans have said or talked about. It even perhaps shows how the writers and animators may have felt or their experiences with fans, both positives and negatives. So much enjoyable meta humor.

Also, I admit to feeling that in this episode Starlight was well used and I had no issues this time around with her.

Wow, that episode was… odd I guess? I see what they where trying to do, lampshade the criticism usually directed at the writers by having the characters themselves react to it. However I feel they just tried to do too much and the message was kinda lost in all the chaos. I thought the moral would’ve been to focus on the bigger picture, that the ponies themselves weren’t as important as the lessons in the book, but that wasn’t it. It was that the Mane 6 aren’t perfect and make mistakes, which is painfully obvious and just really vague. That along with how they kept throwing in some valid criticisms in there too to make the points look sillier, Like the line with Fluttershy about being more assertive. And now I’m sitting here with more questions than answers about this episode, since the only real resolve to all of this was the Mane 6 telling everyone they aren’t perfect. So are ponies just going to always be like this around them from now on? Did AJ get all those people off her farm, did she go broke? What about Rarity’s businesses, people all across Equestria are boycotting her that’s a huge deal. And ect, each of these problems seem like an issue for another entire episode.

In summary I think the idea behind the episode was pretty good, but the execution seemed rushed and chaotic with not enough focus being given on each problem brought up.
