Dragonshy was the dumbest application of it(she yelled at a dragon, oh what a fucking force, I wonder what Dash did wrong), Hoof Down was the episode that asserted that her current stance is bordering on too much assertion, Keep Calm was almost what I wanted, because she was being nice to gain the trust or another without the intent to abuse it and it actually worked but faltered on the last step by holding her kindness for ransom.
How did Just for Sidekicks show it?
And I didn’t say she never had it, I’m saying it’s going too far.
And I don’t even want to talk about how it fucked Buckball for me personally.

You still implied the bat transformation has something to do with it, when this is just something that’s been a part of her character since the first season and just has gotten more and more attention as the show goes on.

So on the subject of the Power Ponies, here’s a fun thing to consider… have any of you ever wondered how fast Fili-Second is?
I actually decided to try and figure this out back when the episode first aired, and surprisingly I think it’s something that can be determined. Consider, at the end of the episode, Pinkie Pie produces a tray of cupcakes she managed to grab just as the enchanted comic was removing her and her friends from the fictional world. When questioned about it, she says, “Eh, we had a good half second before we got sucked back out of the comic, and the Maretropolis bakery was only sixty-five blocks away!” Now Maretropolis is, of course, a pony version of the well known comic city Metropolis, which is based (at least in part) on a certain real life city. After digging around online a bit to find street dimensions, I learned that the average size of a city block in Manhattan is approximately 264 by 900 feet (or around 80.5 by 274.3 meters). Assuming Pinkie’s estimate on the block number and the time before the comic book pulled them out is accurate, she traveled (round trip) 130 blocks in 0.5 seconds. From this, we can determine what her minimum and maximum speed would have been. If we assume she traveled only along the short end of the block, she would have gone a total distance of 34,320 feet (10,460.7 meters). Assuming the longest route, she would have traveled 117,000 feet (35,661.6 meters). Dividing by the time spent allows us to conclude that Pinkie Pie would have to have been traveling somewhere between 68,640 and 234,000 feet/second (20,921.5 and 71,323.2 meters/second) in order to make the trip in time.
(Fun fact: if you divide Pinkie’s possible speeds by the number of feet in a mile, you can determine that she was running somewhere between 13.00 and 44.32 miles per second, which means that she is considerably slower than the Flash, who, in Flash #209, was described as capable of running somewhere over two thousand miles/second.)
(Fun Fact 2: the space shuttle, back when it was still flying, typically re-entered the atmosphere at 17,500 miles/hour. Fili-Second clocks in at 46,800 to 159,552 miles/hour, making her anywhere from 2.5 to 9 times faster.)

I think it was because Fluttershy was well aware that her friends could take care of themselves, since, hey, they’re superheroes in the comic and the Mane-i-ac is a supervillain, so of course they’re going to get attacked. But the Mane-i-ac attacking a harmless fly just because it was in her way was just plain petty and unnecessary in her eyes. THAT’S why it set her off.

From what i’ve seen, it’s not so much about “That’s cute” as “We’ve gone through five seasons already and she still always has to learn how to face her fears or to be assertive at least once a season. It feels like she isn’t having any development at all.”
