I didn’t like how Twilgiht was so OP in Castlemania, Simple Ways was a love it hate kind of thing it had some good parts but Rarity acted kinda OOC, and he also wrote A Leap of Faith which was terrible, but I can’t blame him all the key epsidoes were average at best Rarity Takes Manehattan being the the only really good one.

“Leap of Faith” to me honestly feels like it was only made because they needed to give Applejack a key episode. It’s quite forgettable.

@Goobington
Perhaps, but even then I feel like the alternate timelines shouldn’t have centered on a single villain taking over each one. They should have stuck to ‘what would have happened to the Mane 6 without the Rainboom’, and the Sombra one was at least on the right track but it was all thrown away afterward.

Right About Everything
Honestly, “Where and Back Again” is one of the only season finales that doesn’t have multiple plots points that make me want to headdesk, no matter how much I liked them at the time. “Canterlot Wedding” had Cadance and Shining Armor from nowhere and Crysalis’s plan making no sense, “Twilight’s Kingdom” had Celestia being a massive moron, Twilight being the only character worth a damn, and Rainbow Power being a ugly anticlimax, “The Cutie Re-Mark” had Starlight’s terrible abortion of a backstory, “Magical Mystery Cure” had… too many issues to go into here.

“Best Night Ever” is the best of course.

I read this shit?
@Goobington
Maybe not, it was the weakest of the 3 main alt timelines though. The first two were good imo.

Re: Leap of Faith

The weakest key episode and probably, for me, the weakest episode of s4. Silver Shill is a pretty awful key giver.

My main issue with Leap of Faith is that Applejack comes clean after Granny Smith attempts a stunt that she couldn’t possibly do in her old age.

That’s not a “tell the truth” issue. That’s a “prevent someone you care about from doing something completely stupid” issue.

I don’t really see the appeal of Best Night Ever (except adding one of the males to my Harem, Blueblood).

The girls go to the Gala, it doesn’t match their expectations and they pretty much ruin it for everyone else all the while I get to see one of Rarity’s worst showings.

She felt entitled to blueblood. He probably got that a lot so I think he was being rude on purpose to get rid of her.

What would happen if Pharynx and Garble met? They both have aggressive personalities.

Like, seriously, I pretty much called it from “The Ticket Master” that the actual episode about the Gala would have it not meet their expectations.

Though not joining the fandom until season 2 had already started probably helped in that regard.

But even if I hadn’t already known it was going to go that way, I STILL probably would’ve called it immediately.

Came up with an explanation for the enchanted items left behind being hidden in modern times.

The Pillars placed a spell on them that transported them to places of their choosing to be safeguarded.

At the end of the magical flashback in Ponhenge, when the objects hit the stones and dissapear in a blip? That’s what actually happened. Once the objects were transported to their hiding places, the magic stones stopped imprinting because there was no longer any magic in there for them to absorb.
