Yeah. I’m not seeing any evidence that I knew about either instance.
 
On another note, going through your old pony posts is amusing as hell. I recommend everyone do it, especially from 4-5 years ago.

Pinkie Pride was leaked, but it was only a few hours before the actual broadcast. Pretty much the same thing that happened with Stranger than Fan Fiction.
 
Also tends to be a bit of a problem when you only have about a year’s worth of time on the site.

Also, apparently I didn’t like Pinkie Pride originally. Ironic, considering it went on to become one of my favorite season 4 episodes.

Well that I only have about a year’s worth of data on this site so it’s a bit hard for me to go back and look at the comments I made when I first joined the fandom (Which was WAY back at the very beginning of 2012)
 
Also yeah I wasn’t that keen on it either went it first came out. I didn’t think it was bad, but sweet Celestia the way everyone talked about it just turned me off of it for a while. Same thing happened with Slice of Life and Amending Fences (only one of those do I really consider really REALLY great now)

Oh. It probably helps that for my first year and a half, I posted exclusively on a single site which archives well. Seems like you had a good year or so on me, though. I joined in April 2013, right in the midst of the Twilicorn drama.
 
And I’m going to go ahead and guess that Slice of Life is the episode you consider great.

Yeah joined right after Health’s Warming Tale, give or take. Wasn’t particularly active during the whole Twilicorn thing, but I remember those debates. And EQG, boy do I remember that. Funny because it got me a lot more invested in the fandom despite me thinking it was just a flawed but harmless movie.
 
No I still really don’t like Slice of Life and the thing I feared it would cause is happening IMO. It’s Amending Fences I consider great

I joined during the 11 month hiatus. Never even got a chance to see Babs, and now she’s gone the way of the Diamond Dogs. Hell, the Diamond Dogs are more loved by Hasbro/DHX than Babs the way things are going…

We still don’t know what Uncommon Bonds is about… are they planning to surprise us? Or is it because it is the episode right before the finale?

It wasn’t supposed to be revealed until now at the earliest. Everything else after M&R was only leaked before TPP AFAIK…

Yeah that hiatus was brutal, what with the death of the Hub and what not. Funny that Rainbow Rocks was the first new MLP related thing to air on Discovery Family.

I don’t remember but have there been episodes hidden like this in previous seasons. It seems like in previous seasons, short synopsis would usually be released for every episode. Even the finale.

Wow. I kinda figured it would be the episode opposite of the one I really liked. :P Amending Fences alone virtually saved Twilight’s character for me post-season 4.
 
And yeah, I remember the backlash towards EG as well. I also remember thinking that it was only going to be a one-time thing and wouldn’t actually become a series.

No Amending Fences is amazing! It’s just when it came out I kept it at a “It was good” sort of level when everyone else was going “OMG BEST EPISODE EVAR!!” kind of like what people are doing with Perfect Pear to some extent. And it was a great use of Twilight post-alicorndom. Season 5 was a good season for her. Too bad they kind of dropped it with Season 6.
 
Same though to be fair it being a series seems to be a lot more up in the air than anything else right now. First it was some Direct-to-DVD movies (even if the first two were screened in theaters) Then it appeared to be a Netflix thing, then it was a mini-series, and now YouTube. By the end of the year I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a hologram program run off of coconut oil and discarded Superbowl T-shirts.

Unless the Diamond Dogs get another appearance sometime down the road that not technically possible since the only made their one appearance way back in the middle of season 1.

Some people have said it will be a Starlight and Sunburst episode since the other two of Twilight’s three fantasies about Starlight in Celestial Advice (meeting Ember, revisiting the Changeling kingdom) already happened in episodes this season.
