Season 6 Episode Discussion [Speculation/Theories/Beware of Spoilers]

Up until a certain divisive character showed up in season 5, Applejack was my favorite one. My friend picked Fluttershy at the time, I have no idea why. I bought into the memes about the other characters, I didn’t want to seem like a pleb by choosing Twilight.
 
As my attitudes changed over the years, I finally realized magical talent > hard work, morals, and country wisdom. I still have a soft spot for Applejack and her family though :D

‘course lord knows he’d probably want the episode to be derailed for an hour-long special about the history of Seaward Shoals’ fishing community, hosted by Samantha Brown of the Travel Channel.  

I think AB is normally focused on as she’s seen as the defacto leader of the CMC. She was the one who led to its creation after all, and things relating to the group itself seem to hit her hardest. Like, it’s her baby ever so slightly moreso than it is the others’

So I was just over at Equestria Daily, and there was a bit of a mess up with the title of their usual, once a day art posts. It’s back to normal now, but the mistake title is what interests me, because it said, “UK No Longer Getting Early Episodes - Reruns Have Taken Their Place”.
 
Anyone have any idea if this is true or not?

Looks like nopony in my watchlist appeared this episode, and I have a pretty extensive watchlist. Or maybe the link posted before was taken down already. I still say it’s Australia’s fault.

Its spoilers but other than Twilight, Spike, Applejack, Pinkie and Rarity, no other ponies that I can remember appeared in PPOV.
 
I found it to be a pretty enjoyable episode actually. I especially liked Rarity’s version of events.

Just checked, while Wednesday’s episode (Where the Apple Lies) is unchanged, the finale has been moved to Thursday-Friday when it was Friday-Saturday before.
 
Top Bolt which was originally airing on Thursday has been completely removed.

On the Tinypop website, “Where the Apple lies” isn’t in the schedule anymore either (replaced with “On your Marks”). But the finale episodes are still there. Hmm.

Yup, On the website, Where the Apple Lies and Top Bolt are gone. This could mean that they are in the middle of trying to reschedule the episodes.

I understand that the Apple Family lives on a farm and all, but why are they so country? They live right outside of town and they all go to the same schools. I refuse to believe their country-ness is hereditary.

I have a California accent, I assume. Someone I used to know in New York thought I had a French accent (what), and to me its everyone else that sounds weird.
 
You do have a really good point about the Apple Family and their country accents. They live right by/inside a small town so.. I don’t know really.
 
With Rarity it sounds like she spent a lot of time cultivating that accent, so I have no idea what she sounded like before developing that :3

I liked this episode. Was interesting to see the perspectives of Rara, AJ, and Pinks, I loved the little nod to the Rarity vs Crab joke, and I enjoyed the introduction of the Bunyip.

So does the fandom like Timber Spruce?

I’m glad they gave him much more weight as a character storywise, which makes his status as romantic interest less painful, even though it’s almost as bad as the entirety of Flash and Twi’s “romance”.
 
I feel nothing but vindication for Flash being all but tossed aside.

I’m neutral about Timber, but now I feel sorry for Flash.

I really wish they’d stop introducing these pretty boys. This isn’t even a “muh waifu” thing Twilight is far from my waifu. They’re just so shallow.
