You know, a new thought just emerged on my mind: For as much flak as the new and current writers get for abandoning old characters and not doing anything with their potential, I think if they DID bring them back and do something with them, they’d still get flak for “not writing them correctly” and “ruining them” for whatever rehashed and predictable plot they’ll come up with. They won’t catch a break either way.

I think Lightning Dust in Washouts is one of the worst offenders of this. People practically begged them to bring her back but some people got really mad they kept her a bad guy and didn’t redeem her(even though it made sense). Never mind that people had already bitched at the writers for redeeming too many characters and probably would have bitched if they did do redeem her
@Prowl
It’s like I keep saying multiple times, people will be ungrateful no matter what the show will do. People out there will still screech and whine and cry that the glory days are over, but refuse to get off the ride just to complain some more.
I remember someone who was flat out FURIOUS at the Lightning Dust episode because “this show doesn’t redeem people anymore.” and they felt betrayed by that fact.
@Jarkes
I’m not pro-FlutterCord, does this mean I’m obnoxious? :’(
That said, I do love them as just platonic friends. (Same with the Rarity/AJ & all Mane 6 actually.)
I’ve actually been attacked by ‘shippers before just for saying I’m “not very into ’shipping.”
