Actually I’ve seen a li’l decline with some of those characters.
 
And who in the wide world of extreme sports is Velvet Remedy, and Blackjack? I know Li’lPip is a fan-character, but I was refering mostly to canon side characters.

And then there’s Tootsie Flute, who the fanbase just entirely abandoned except for three artists. Hell, I feel like I’m the only one who remembers her and a few others.

Are they really not going to include Tempest in Season 9 just because they can’t pay for Emily Blunt? That’s stupid.

She’s a big name Hollywood actress, I think they have her pay her a ton to reprise her role for a cartoon.

Jennifer Hale could’ve taken over for Emily Blunt as Tempest Shadow. She’s roughly the same level of fame as Tara Strong.

Honestly I don’t buy the “it would be disrespectful to their performances” thing. Many cartoons have replaced celebrity VAs from movies with sound-alikes when their characters showed up later. There’s no real excuse.

She was even introduced alongside Dinky. But the only reason Dinky gets any art is because she’s Derpy’s daughter, even though the two have only appeared together once in Season 5 and had otherwise never even appeared in the same episode before then…

The only other person I know of how has done something with Tootsie is MustLoveFroges, but that’s it.

I’d like to commission for Tempest, but I’m sure the artists I like would charge a fortune. Plus I’m picky with my money and don’t think just because an artist is famous, that they should make something cost more. Sure, they’re busy and get them a lot, but that’s just me.
 
Maybe one day, when I’m desperate enough.
