Shipping involving Big Mac do sometimes enter that territory , it never escalated but clashes do happen , remember back when Fluttermac was a thing?
 
Other than that it’s less of shipping wars between two ships and more that there are ships where either people loved to the degree that they frowned any ship that contradicts it, or ships that many people hate
 
Fanon six three main ships often had the former types of people.

Fluttermac was a thing until canon nazis and the writers of the show destroyed it.
 
I still ship it but I wish they could have interacted in canon instead of having Betrayalshipping (Fluttercord) and Sugarmac being canonized. But sadly, it’s not our show and I can’t change the crew’s minds.

It’s a bit surreal for me to think, that ChrySombra is kinda dead in the show, as of the S9 premiere (though to be fair, I’d wondered if feeding on love went ideally with the other being a complete fearmongerer), and we live in a timeline where Chrysirek (Chrysalis x Tirek) is more theoretically viable.
 
Not gonna lie, I kinda hope it stays that way.

In all seriousness though, it looked like Tirek was ready to make an attempt at attacking Sombra, seemingly out of anger, even in his weakest state, right before Grogar made his presence known, whereas with seeing Chrysalis for the first time, he seemed more curious if anything.

I suspect Tirek had never seen a changeling before, since they weren’t mentioned back in S4. He probably knew Chrysi by reputation, though. I can totally see Chrysirek though.

He was curious about her being a Changeling and he likely knew about Sombra due to being from the same generation despite never meeting personally before , he was likely prepared just in case Sombra tries to Turn him into a Zombie

With Discord and Grogar it makes sense since they are pretty much deities but Tirek knowing about them implies that they existed a thousand years ago , unless if Cozy told him about them

For what it’s worth, Chrysalis did introduce herself to Tirek, name and her (former) title as Queen, instead of him indicating he recognized her personally.
 
As for him knowing about Changelings, is there any proof that they weren’t around 1000+ years ago? Especially considering Tirek didn’t come from Equestria, himself, and we have no way of knowing if Changelings were unknown in his land (in any case, Tirek doesn’t come off as the uneducated type). As far as the comics go, Chrysalis was around back then, but for what the show has confirmed, we have no idea how old Chrysalis is.

Eh okay. I can agree there. When Big Mac was the only penis in town and people desperately wanted the mares to be straight. Things got a bit hectic. The show even seemed to play with the concept for a bit…and then sugarmac just happened… Oh well. I still and will most likely always ship Mac with Luna. Don’t @ me.
