Shipping Thread

I find it annoying that there was a time when, if you didn’t ship lyrabon, you were a homophobe. Don’t believe me, take a look at some of the older images in the shipping denied tag.

That happens with every popular gay ship in every fandom. Granted, sometimes it’s true, but not always.
 
Using an example from another fandom (and a Hasbro related one at that), Transformers: a majority of the cast in most Transformers adaptions are male, so male/male pairings are super common (kind of like how female/female ones sre here). Megatron/Starscream is probably one of the most popular ships in the franchise but it also has quite a few people who hate it.

Aren’t Megatron and Starscream always trying to kill each other? Dislestia makes more sense than those two.

They are. I’m all for foe yay ships but that one seemed to go a bit too far for me to really enjoy. (I’m more of a Megatron/Soundwave kind of gal.)
 
Their entire relationships in most incarnations can be summed up as, “Starscream tries killing Megatron to get his spot as leader every chance he gets” and “Megatron abuses/banishes/kills Starscream once he catches onto his backstabbing ways.”
 
And some defensive MegaStar shippers do accuse people of being homophobic for not liking it, even though, y’know, some people might not care for the whole backstabbing/killing/abuse side of their relationship.

honestly i blame the show writers for doing such a piss job at developing the characters they intend to be romantic interests.

I’m guessing it’s because they’re now biology human, though their reproduction would need to behave like a human’s as well in that case.
