I really got a feel for the spike fans though. I’m a dash fan and even though Dash gets an occasional Fosgitt comic, I know she’ll eventually get another good one from another artist (Like how she got the Grade A GOH comic and the Soarin/dash one recently).
 
But Spike fans? Man this was supposed to be spikes BIG moment. Like, his crowning moment of awesome his TWILIGHT’S KINGDOM. He was to go Freaking Godzilla, be a hero and get to rip the villains a new one and save the day after YEARS of being the butt monkey who constantly got his butt kicked.
 
But now? Crap man, his giant Moment of awesome has basically been ripped away, almost certainly never to be returned– he was the giant Toy for the toyline and was going to get the climax issue to himself to fix the situation. But then…..

I wouldn’t be surprised if Curnow’s trying to run the comics into the ground…

January’s sales numbers are out.
 
Friends Forever #36 (Rainbow Dash & Soarin’) sold 9,384 copies aka 381 less copies than the previous month and already starting to get near the 8K mark.
 
There’s no data available about Accord’s final chapter sales.

Guardians of Harmony might actually be this week along with issue 51. At least that’s what Tony Fleecs is saying.

So instead of bothering to design some fancy armor, Fosgitt literally just copied an Equestra-Prevails pic.

It makes little sense considering that they don’t even have armor in their toys.

Well, twilight did.
 
I will applaud him in that he wanted EVERYONE to get a hand in fighting the changelings so he had twilight give everyone armor too, which, in all honestly, is something this comic NEEDS. (Too many comics have the other 5 end up useless while Powerful unicorns fix everything).
 
 
I’m honestly more amused by him copying Equestria prevails work than Annoyed though XD

We don’t know that for sure.
 
I remember Sega & Sumo Digital awhile back mistook a fanart piece for an official art, and used it in a game. (They removed it, and apologized to the fanartist with a neat giftbasket. Ironically, the artist wasn’t upset, and found the situation flattering.) Could be the people who work on the comic could’ve done the same mistake.
 
I also wouldn’t fault Fosgitt alone though, (which is quite biased) as the comic editor, and/or writer tell the artist what to draw, and could be equally, or more-so responsible.  
Nobody cared when Hasbro started stealing using fanon names for the background characters, (such as “Lyra”) or accused them of stealing from fans. (Granted, not like they could prove who came up with the names originally.) It could be a mistake, as I said.
 
Also, the mohawk helmets aren’t entirely original either, as the show already used them.

I get referencing other works, and we would’ve just poked a little fun if it reminded us of it, but was still different but that’s straight up stealing designs. Come on, dude, you can’t even steal clip-art right.

I’d even be cool with this if he mentioned equestria-prevails as a reference. But unless people press him I doubt he will.

To be honest, I think its fine for him to use Equestria prevails designs SO LONG AS HE AKNOWLEDGES EQ prevails or asks him.  
Just give a little twitter post or what not thanking the artist or aknowledging his image, and there, that’s that. I Like the armor, so i’m actually happy to see it used, but I just think he needs, as a matter of courtesy, to aknowledge the original artist is all.
 
I would actually even LOVE to see these armor designs keep being used, just its the principal of the thing is all.

Well, you could always accuse ask him at his DeviantArt page.
 
As I said they might not even of known it was fanart. (The reason, I say “they” is because it could’ve been the editor or writer’s fault too.)

I’m hoping for a civil response from him, since like I said, I’m 100% happy with those Designs being used since they’re boss, just curious about Equestria prevails in relation to this is all.

I just hope it doesn’t cause any legal issues, or gets Fosgitt, the editor, or writer, or whoever was responsible in trouble if it was just an honest mistake. (For the reasons I said above.)
 
Problem is, sense Fosgitt’s art & the comic in general have been a bit controversial with some fans, (some love it, some loathe it) some would probably do their best to use this incident to demonize him, or the rest of IDW. So I kinda hope people won’t attack him too much over this.
