Poison Trail

Cosmos, a Copypasta Story: Really not. The arc is a complete joke that takes the concept of a “Discord-Style Villain” and goes your standard “3 issues of everyone acting like jackasses and one issue in which they still are for 90% of it, then someone pulls out a deus ex machina and wins the day” routine. Speaking of “Discord-Style Villains”…
Edgelord Knights: Oh, hey, there’s another, this time pulling the “Alternate Dimensions” can of worms opened by the shitty Reflections arc wide open. Ughh. Still, at least the writing here is… somewhat decent, and some underused characters do get some much needed attention, despite the highly convenient way they’re tied into the plot.
Along with the Accord arc, those three alone make a pretty strong case as to originality officially being dead within the comic series with how similar they are to one another, with Accord pulling Andy’s “Celestia is a mental wreck” headcanon and enforcing the then-inviolable “Sue-light” bible entry stating that Starlight Glimmer can only be portrayed as being some sort of demi-god that knows better and acts better than everyone else on top of everything else that atrocity of an arc did.
Still, I do think it goes Nightmare Knights > Cosmos > Accord. NMK at least has the originality of reaching for a multiverse, despite how damaging those can be on the long-term. The other two are just… ughh.
