How would you describe the magic aura on a characters eyes when they use dark magic?

I’m writing a fanfic and one of my characters is using dark magic. A comedy image parodying MMMMystery on the Friendship Express had Sombra saying he wore “false evil eyelashes,” but that doesn’t seem quite right.

Dark aura?

Since it’s located in the eyes, I’d probably just call it “dark vision” or “corrupted sight” or something on that order.

You could say their eyes were “smoldering”.
