Starswirl the Bearded is made out to be one of the most powerful unicorns who ever lived, and he was Clover The Clever’s mentor, who was around for the founding. Given the existence of Age Spells, which are limited to the highest level unicorns, he might have lived long enough to see them born. As for why he’s not around now, perhaps he perished during Discord’s reign, or just got sick of life and stopped casting the spell.

Griffons were close to the crystal ponies because the Crystal Empire crystals refracts a lot of light, and griffons, being part eagle, can see into the ultraviolet range, making the Crystal Empire even prettier to them. When taking over the Crystal Empire, one of his biggest difficulties was dealing with griffon insurgency. Ponies and griffons are not on entirely good terms these days because the griffon counterpart(s) to the Royal Alicorn sisters blame(s) them for botching the defence of their their closest allies on the continent.

To sum up…

Chrysalis and Luna are the same. Luna never repented, merely bided her time, and brought in the changelings for her own plans, then after being defeated, pretended to have arrived late.

I had a thought similar where the Unicorns never controlled the sun and the moon for the whole world, instead there is a shield like thing over Equestria and light and moon are reflected to defend against Wendigo’s.

King Sombra is the Demon Lord of Tartarus and he wasn’t killed just thrown back into Tartarus and is currently planning his reprisal upon Equestria.

Based off a couple fanfics, I like to believe that Blueblood deliberately behaved the way he did to Rarity to drive her off, thinking her to be another gold-digger

Except, as I’m quick to point out… he approached her and it’s implied that he wanted her company since he did approach her and make the first move.

So no. Unless one argues that he only approached her to preemptively got rid of her.
But if that were the case, his methods of doing so were oddly indirect.

Having read such fics, Blueblood’s probably just seeing how much she’s willing to put up with. The motives behind this could be anything from complex to utterly shallow.

While he did approach her, her reaction to his introduction and her willingness to follow him around is Rarity trying to show interest. Again, this could range from knowingly pressing his social advantage to being obliviously self-centered.

A region of Equestria was ruled by a mad emperor named Incitatus, who among other things, appointed his pet ape as senator. Yes, this is a blatant reference to Emperor Caligula.

Princess Luna and Prince Blueblood have a strained relationship. Princess Luna thinks of Blueblood as a spoiled brat who only holds a position of power because of some undeserved birthright, and Blueblood thinks it’s hypocritical for Luna of all ponies to look down on any pony for getting their positions via who they’re related to, considering she only holds this position because of her relationship with Celestia, despite the fact that she’s a twice arch-traitor would-be usurper who became that way because she couldn’t connect with her subjects, and her incredibly quick temper against ponies who rightfully fear her and insistence on using a dialect that was considered archaic even back before she was banished, as well as the fact that Celestia managed for a thousand years without her, is proof that Emperor Incitatus and his pet ape senator would be a more deserving ruler than her.

New one! The Shadowbolts WERE a real organization in Nightmare Moon’s time, but in the interim millennium they transformed into the Wonderbolts, kind of like how American militias became a dedicated army after 100 years. It explains why she’d think Rainbow Dash would be tempted by them AND why she didn’t use the Wonderbolts, since - being trapped in the moon - she had no idea what they were.

I have an idea for a future episode where Rainbow Dash and Gilda meet up again (the plot is irrelevant, though it probably involves my “Gilda became a foreign wrestler heel” headcanon), where RD’s friends try to play up Rainbow Dash’s loyalty.

Unfortunately, their use of stock phrases like “Rainbow Dash is the most loyal pony out there” “Rainbow Dash would never turn her back on a friend” “Friends of Rainbow Dash can always count on her” is going to be met with sarcasm and derision, since, even if at the time RD was justified, the fact that she pretty much said “good riddance” tells Gilda that RD’s loyalty is selective, and she won’t be patronized.

I think that Rainbow would edge towards a breakdown just hearing her friends say that to her old friend.

Not strictly crazy, but still out of left field…

Celestia has actually taught a group of unicorns to raise the sun and moon for her and set up an organization to take over for her when she wants a break. She didn’t have them take action during the Nightmare Moon incident because she didn’t want them fighting her sister, but they actually handle the day and night cycle most of the time. The organization is made of unicorn guards, but everyone that’s graduated from her school at least knows the spell.

Celestia hasn’t raised the sun regularly outside of the Summer Sun Celebration for more than a century.

Celestia and Luna aren’t actually immortal: In fact, the survive by siphoning off the life spans of all the other alicorns born throughout the kingdom, hence their relative sparseness. Twilight and Cadance only have a few years left before they spontaneously combust.
