I’m not wild about “logistics” for what’s probably the EqG equivalent of the Men In Black or SCP (Probably closer to Hypnos or Providence, but I dunno how many Digimon or Generator Rex fans we have around here), and “pearl” doesn’t seem ominous enough, if that makes sense.

The hippogriffs seen in the movie are “pedigree” hippogriffs, many generations removed from any pony or griffon ancestors and functioning as a separate race, though crossbreeding is still possible. The direct biological offspring of a pony and a griffon, by contrast, will be a “mutt” hippogriff; these typically retain the smaller stature of their parents, and often lack the fancier manes and/or plumage of their “pedigree” counterparts.

Huh. That’s actually an interesting way to look at things, I may just end up adopting this. Although I may have to come up with different terms – talking about “pedigrees” and “mutts” in regards to, well, people (or fantasy equivalent thereof, whatever) makes me a tad uncomfortable.
 
Not that it isn’t biologically sound terminology, just personal preferences.

If it sounds a tad racist, it’s meant to. The “real” hippogriffs have a history of looking down on the hybrids. In older generations it tended to manifest as contempt, but the youths tend more towards being unintentionally condescending.

Despite being an earth pony, Apple Bloom is the weakest of the CMC physically. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle try not to talk about it because it’s a sensitive subject for her.

Celestia, both princess and principal, is a big fan of the “Pull my finger” joke.

The reaction Princess Celestia usually gets is confusion, since not only does she have no fingers, but most ponies don’t even know what fingers are.

Equestria would be above 99.99% white if ponies were human, and all of the zebras we’ve seen would equate to 33-66% of the entire country’s black population.

Zebras are of African descent, some of them were even African-Americans
 
Normal ponies has diverse ethnicities, the majority being Canadians, Americans, and Asians, while there are also minorities consists of Europeans, Latinos, and Russians
 
Dragons are mostly Americans

Ahuizotl learned English, or at least in Equestrian terms - Ponish, when he started hiring henchponies. Himself and his Aztec henchponies only knew what would be Equestria’s form of spanish. While he is pretty fluent in it today, he still says things that are grammatically incorrect. Case in point around the 20 second mark.

Adding to that, griffins tend to be of European and Central Asian descent, with many living in Equestria (or, for this argument, North America) as immigrants and the descendants of immigrants.

My thought has always been that she was the First changeling, she’s quite different and special from other changelings, also one of the toy fair thingers may have leaked a picture of what she may look like as a reformed changedling.
