One of the most common activities of dragons is to spar with one another, mostly to train themselves in case of combat. This is especially the case in younger individuals, who must learn the ropes of fighting should they ever need to do so. A dragon’s definition of sparring is quite more hardcore than the sparring we might know of; the sparring dragons in question don’t hold back and can be quite destructive, especially if they’re adults.

Starlight Glimmer wasn’t in The Movie because it took place at about the same time as Mirror Magic and she was in the human world at that point.

She was even in the trailer for the movie. And we see her cameo at the beginning of the film, and she appears at the end too.

Originally Sunset Shimmer wasn’t going to be in the movie, but after she found out she demanded to be in at the last minute
 
The staff all agree that dealing with Pony actors and actresses was Much easier in the beginning. Star struck Pony actresses Love attention.
 
BTW I haven’t seen the movie yet, waiting for it to be available on Google Play for purchase. XD

The Equestria Girls equivalent of Queen Novo is Director Novo, head of a secret monitoring organization called Paranormal Examination And Restraint Logistics. She doesn’t have any operatives at Canterlot High yet, but the first few will receive their cover identities very, very soon.

That works. And it also gives Twilight a good reason to take it well: she was probably worried sick about what could have happened to Starlight during the Storm King’s occupation of Canterlot, especially when she wasn’t with all the other captive ponies afterwards, so finding out she was safe and with friends would have been a big relief.
 
And let’s be honest, having Starlight there would have run the risk of her derailing the movie by sympathizing with Tempest and earning her trust.

Daring Do is Daring’s real name, but the reason so many ponies remember her by a differret name was because she was often referred to with her nickname, Yearling. Ever since foalhood, the nickname had become so common upon her peers and teachers that many assumed that Yearling was her real name. She would correct them, but regardless they still referred to her as Yearling because it was easier to remember. When she grew up to become an archaeologist and write about her adventures, she made her alias based off her parents’ initials and her foalhood nickname.

But that doesn’t make sense for her to be leaving to the EQG after her cameo.
 
Her cameo is during the festival, and it’s a high chance that she was still in the festival when shit was going down and everyone was getting captured. And since she appears during the ending, I think we can assume that she was also captured along with the other ponies when Storm King was fucking Canterlot up in the opening.

I was just responding to what was put out there. If Velvet was always an adrenaline junkie, Twilight has probably been afraid of losing her mother ever since she was old enough to understand the dangers involved. Hell, it might also be why Shining Armor specializes in shield spells: he grew up expecting something to go wrong.
