Ignoring for the moment the question of legitimacy of any particular faith, I do feel like religion could exist in Equestria. After all, in our world, religion is a fairly expansive topic that touches on a number of subjects… purpose, morality, existentialism, and so on. These things also exist in Equestria, and given that they even have the benefit of an actual magic that apparently does have some influence on their destiny (cutie marks), it’s not hard to imagine some kind of religion could exist there.
 
I doubt it would resemble one of ours, of course, but that’s an entirely different discussion.

My guess is that while Celestia isn’t necessarily regarded as a god(dess), they do consider her a sacred figure or object of veneration on some level, based on the context her name is sometimes used in (“Celestia as my witness”. “for the love of Celestia”, etc.)

Alula (the filly with the Brooklyn accent) is Scootaloo’s rival in terms of who’s the biggest Rainbow Dash fan.

Talking about religion I thought the Ponyville school was a church at my first view.

Pipsqueak, Rumble, Featherweight, Crackle Pop, Button Mash, Snails, Pound Cake (later on, to match his dominant sister), Thunderlane, Soarin’, Braeburn, Big Macintosh, Bright Macintosh, Menzing, Hekesuh, Winterlight, BB, and Umami wear midriff-baring shirts.
 
Littlepip’s parents’ middle names are Milhouse and Gilligan. And Fluffle Puff’s middle name is Blerble.

From what I’ve read, in Thailand the King is basically a divine being, and stepping on currency, raising your head above his, and The King and I are all illegal there.

Well, Thailand’s king during the early 20th century was very smart. He not only avoided going to war, he gained from it and modernized the country during said war despite not being involved in any conflicts.
 
I respect the dude.

Unicorns have an innate sense and preference for virgins.
 
It’s also why Twilight was attracted to Flash.

After a unicorn loses their virginity, it is usually followed within a few hours by a brief period of intense regret and self-loathing. It generally lasts for a couple days, a week at most, but can be ended early by an act of true love (or an act of false love if it’s faked really convincingly, but this is risky at best, as unicorns in this state are often emotional minefields who become VERY volatile if they think they’re being deceived).

Despite their demeanor Snips and Snails are actually savants in creating different kinds of spells and magic. A lot of their success in magical experimentation comes from the fact that they’re too crazy to consider some spells sshouldn’t be attempted or combined and they’re too stubborn to ever really quit.

What voices would certain OCs and background ponies have? Maybe Blackjack could have her voice from this trailer, perhaps?

One of the fastest ways to get on Octavia’s bad side is to refer to her as “Octavia Medley” rather than “Octavia Melody” after she’s already corrected you once.

Surprisingly, calling her music (or classical/instrumental music in general) “boring” or “sleep-inducing” will just earn you an eye-roll because she’s heard THAT one a couple million times.

Celestia and Luna’s parents are on a higher plane of existence.

Spike doesn’t have wings because he was hatched too early. Because of the rate he grew at when Twilight hached him, his body formed into a healtho shape in the egg in a manner of seconds. When he was brought back to infant size. He was in fact healthy, but because he developed so quickly in there he never got to the stage in his egg to develop wings.

In the first year that Luna returned she decreed that her subjects would show their adoration by engaging in the practice of “mooning”. As in moon bathing. Like sun bathing, but in moonlight.
 
Unfortunately she hadn’t realized that the term had taken on a new meaning in the millennium since she was banished.
