Physically, Fluttershy is actually the strongest. She just needs a little push to use it because she’s so reluctant.

Sunburst and Sombra are related somehow. Not by blood or anything. But there’s some kind of connection there.
 
Both are highly skilled magical experts mainly known for the creative and effective way they utilize magic. They’re both related strongly to the crystal empire and crystals in general (Sombra had a crystal obsession and Sunburst is the official crystaller for the Crystal ruler’s child. Both are male unicorns, but they’re both opposed in that one is of shadow, and the other is related strongly with light and the sun.

I dunno, I think vanilla suits her better.

celestia is actually the younger sister. everyone just assumes she’s older because she’s bigger. and that’s profiling. and that’s wrong.

Discord once recreated the Universe by accident.
 
There were only mild changes though and no one believed him. One particular change was that Celestia lost a few inches on height and her mane was shorter.

Fluttershy is a pain at the zoo. The keepers there, all well-versed in animal care and feeding, get frequently lectured that they could be doing better somehow.

I actually tend to think they’d get along quite well. After all, when Fluttershy explained her cutie mark to the CMC, she indicated that her special ability involved communication, not medical care.  

So she’s extremely good at understanding what the animals are trying to say, and getting them to understand, in turn, what she’d like them to do. That sounds like the sort of resource a vet would very much appreciate having access too. And if she did agree to help in that capacity, Fluttershy would get to learn how to better care for her little friends.
 
By all rights she and the vet should be best of friends.

While Changelings feed on Love, Hate is pure poison to them, it makes them weak and unable to do magic, like Superman with Kryptonite, killing them if exposed to high enough levels of it. This is why they go after ponies, because they have the least amount of hate out of any race.

Sounds like that’d put them in conflict with windigos, sirens, and other species that feed on negative emotion. Might be a good story there.

I tend to avoid “character close to Twilight turns evil” stories because anyone close to Twilight would also be close to Celestia and Luna, who are functionally gods, so now you have to explain why they can’t (or won’t) help, despite their vast power and benevolence.

And usually take a back seat to the story anyhow.
 
I could legit see reason either might be unable to help, from lack of experience or knowledge to outright thinking of that mythical “Bigger Picture” or “Greater Good”.

Queen Chrysalis really understand Starlight Glimmer’s creativity and Glimmer predicts her schemes for so long eventually she stars just talking to random objects.

Starlight Glimmer is at least a good 10 years older than Twilight Sparkle.
